Custom Made Jewelry You Designed Thread

Wondering if any of you have had jewelry made of your own design.

I have had the pleasure of seeing a couple of my designs come to fruition with the help of some third generation jewelry makers in Miami.

Most recently I designed an engagement ring using some stones I had in my collection. Her fingers are small, she lives in a dangerous environment, so I wanted something classy, yet not too overstated. The center stone is an approximately one carat heart diamond, the two outer stones are .3 carat heart diamonds. The 14K band is surrounded in square rubies.

With luck, the ring fit perfectly, this band was not one that could be adjusted.

And better yet she said yes.

Thank you Simon. Probably in March when she has her spring break (she's a teacher). we'll do the ceremony once in Mexico, and once somewhere in south Florida.

Also, the wedding band, fits right up against the hearts like a piece of a puzzle. My ring will be simple, with the same ruby band.

 

Yes, day before Easter this year. On our way to Tavern On The Green. It was Cati's first time in NYC, so you sort of have to go there.

It was great, had her thinking earlier in the day I was not serious about getting married, then I popped the question.
