Now, should Warner Brothers offer you full sponsorship, but with a clause that the drivers would have to dress in Bugs Bunny and Porky Pig outfits while you dressed as Elmer Fudd during the race, would you go along with it?

I'd rather see him dressed as Batman... a good cape can sometimes be quite fetching. :D

    All the best,
    Andrew.

It's a shame it's needs sponsors as it looks damn mean in the Matt Black above, but I guess no sponsors would make the project a no-go (in all probability)

Good luck with the project.......simply stunning

    Way too cool.

I remember reading somewhere that Enzo used to think that for a car to be fast it had to be pretty.

If that was true, you'd be the winner before the race even began.

It is pretty cool in flat black.

    Maybe Carbon will step up.

    Jim,
What was the thinking behind aiming for the 24 of Nürburgring?

Date of event fit your timeline?

    Ease of getting an entry?

    Class rules or similar?

    Level of competition?

    Exposure in Europe?

Thanks, and I am enjoying the progress reports!

It's a wonderful course with a lot of History. It still has it's "Flying" sections so it's a real test of the metal. It's fans are very enthusiastic and there are a lot of them so it would be good for a sponsor. The organisers are helpful and interested in P 4/5 competing there and there is an experimental class that we could fall within.

We simply want to have a good time, put on a good show and let the winds of the old days blow through what's left of our hair.

    Jim,

Having made something so unique and beautiful as the P4/5, it just seems to just grow and grow and for that reason I think you will find your sponsor in no time.

    Hope it goes well.

    Regards,

    Matthew

Oh and I think you should stick with a colour, at least that way we will be able to see the car :)

First the car looks fantastic! Good luck!

If you are planning to do a few races, could you do the first one by yourself without sponsors.

Then the following races could be done with sponsors and you might be able to structure the deal so that you can make profit to compensate for the first race. There is money to be made in the hats, mugs, model cars and posters.

(Just thinking outside the box since time is always a factor.)

Any spots left open? I can give you up to $30 as the first sponsor. All you have to do is put my name somewhere on the car :D.

Contact Kazunori Yamauchi of the Gran Turismo racing simulation game. He is a big fan of cars and racing. Also, as you probably already know, they even have an award named for him at the Pebble Beach show now.

If they sponsor you, the P4/5 C could be the cover car of their new game that comes out in march, Gran Turismo 5. The gran turismo game is already a major sponsor of the ring's 24hr race so they could probably sponsor a car no problem. They would be a perfect match for sponsorship because of their love for cars and their presence in the car and car racing worlds.

What racing series specs is it being built to?

Also, I would love to contribute any way I can once things get going. All the best to this exciting campaign!

    Now THAT'S a race car!

Next thing we will have people debating whether the black matte version is a paint job or a wrap!

Can we see a side by side comparison of P4/5 with the P4/5C concept? Would be interesting to see how the car is evolving from 'road' to 'race'!

Glickenhaus thank you for sharing the entire process with Ferrarichat.

Too bad you can't revive the N.A.R.T. racing team name!

Are you thing about running the car in the ALMS series? I remember when Maserati ran in the AMLS. It was a first class operation. It was so fun watching the MC12 go around the track.

    .

Jim, I haven't posted much in this thread because so much of what I would say has already been said by so many others. It truly will be a project for your lifetime; Another fabled chapter in your long story.

If I can ask, how much has Rik helped you in this, and will he be involved in the program if you indeed find your sponsorship?
