Hi Joe, Do you know the german 288GTO, plates M-MM 6336 (Münich) ? She was all red (including front and rear bumpers), 2 small Ferrari rectangular) badges on the mirrors. I think she was quite famous in Germany (seen in one or two magazines in the 80s). I have some pics of it, that we took in a street in a dark sunday evening. I will try to post here in incoming days..
Denis, I have 2 magazines from the 80s with this car featured. Yes, please post the current images you have.
These Monaco W058 plates have been used for many Ferrari's, F355, 550 Barchetta, a white Testarossa, could be Cavallari's dealer plates? Ciao! Marcel
The one with German plates is most likely the Auto Becker GTO s/n 53755, but I'm not 100% sure. BTW: That car is here in Holland now ;-) Speaking of Auto Becker, I went there many times to see Ferrari's in the 1980's! Too bad that I did not care about chassisnumbers at that time. I really like that picture of the transporter with the GTO's, delivery at Auto Becker at the Suitbertusstrasse, great stuff ! Cheers, Marcel Image Unavailable, Please Login
Here's a picture of s/n 54799 at Zandvoort, 1989. A lot of owners really drove their 288 GTO at club events in those days, and sometimes one went of track, but I have never heard of a serious damaged 288 GTO ever, fortunatly! Ciao! Marcel Image Unavailable, Please Login
Cyril At which occasion/place did you spot the red GTO with "D-AW 614" (D) plates ? Which one was the F50 ? Olivier
Hi all, Here are some GTO pics I took mainly in Germany in the 80s. Sorry for poor quality, I did digital pics from my paper copies. You can see: - M MM 6336, pic taken in Hamburg in 1986. Exactly at the place where this photo was taken, we often saw a 308 GTBi and a grey 365 GT4 2+2. No idea if it was same owner or pure luck ? - HH EE 390, same town - GTO we already spoke, taken in Martigny, Swizterland, the GTO that was presented in Paris in 1987, during the "Fondation Cartier" Ferrari exhibition. Of course, no idea of s/n (I was 14 years old and was very interested in s/n at that time ...). - two GTO taken in Auto Becker dealer, Düsseldorf. No idea of s/n ? (Two GTOs were in the showroom, among 328s and Mondials...). - GTO in Monaco Auction, in 1988 I think. s/n can be easily found. - A GTO in a autoMuseum, I Germany I think. No more detail.
