Robson did my challenge paddles .. so I might check with them on the wheels out of interest .. but leave the lip polished to retain the bling bling look. I'm still in 2 minds about a wheel change though.
Yes, keep polish lip..that would be nice. But me got feeling, when yr new mods done, be it the 16M project, or cf wheels, you will still be hungering for a new ride! Its a horrible feeling...that keeps gnawing at u...or is that just me?
yup I fear you are correct .. but as I say .. the CF wheels are still worth looking into .. especially if it works out cheaper than getting new HRE M41's .. ie more $$ for the 16M project
no I believe they are real CF, but there is also a process called laminating, whereby CF is moulded onto an existing part. There is a company here that does it and the look & feel is exactly the same as 100% CF. My challenge paddles had it done (in red CF) and you can't tell the difference.
Mate, I seriously doubt the laminate could last with the heat build up from the discs... you will be peeling a lot of cracked CF off your rims in a matter of hourse.....
think if you are a personal friend of the big boss, you will be up the list for sure... but you must be a personal friend as opposed to a loyal customer... nice.. hmmm.... if you guys want a guaranteed delivery in the first batch... there is one.... and it is with a very close friend of the big boss from what i understand... but that way you wont be earning the brownie points direct with IA which will still leave you at the bottim of the VIP list, but at least one of the very first to own a 458 I guess.... hahaha
MP... got the low down on the Vincar deal.... from what I understand now it was the dealer taking your car in that screwed them... BUT your salesperson just didn't convey it properly to you nor handled the situation right.... either way it was a cock up deal but a pity as from what I understand now, the owner of Vincar is actually a good bloke who really wanted your deal to go through....
Mate, the laminating process, apart from destroying itself under the heat as the CF used is not heat resistant, will also screw up clearance on your lug bolt holes, not withstand the bolts screwing onto them, and mess up your offset... all in all mate, a very quick way to screw up your already very nice rims....
I just spoke to IA. They want to assure all of us that they will be fair to all. They understand that the "world" is watching them... so they want to get it right. They told me to tell eveyone not to listen to rumours and that they will be sorting out the queue within the next two weeks. They too have heard the rumours about which directors and which friends of OBS and JPO are in line. They said not to listen to the noise and to trust their process. Lets just wait and trust the process. This is like waiting for 0 Level results!!
either way mate, if they r making 100k-150k on the deal (my estimate is closer to 150k), then junior should have either kept his trap shut or stood by what he AGREED to. i DO believe in "My Word IS My Bond". and i do NOT like being jerked around. owner may be a good guy, but junior shamed his company by the was he played his hand. too bad. i have no regrets for the deal having gone sour. I'll find another car i like, but NOT from them.
That's what they told me as well... that they would be fair to everyone. My suggestion to them was to give priority to those who have held on to their F car for the longest time
i told them they need to give priority to new F owners. dun care too much about the old cocks they will always be there....ppl like brudder lung will never quit the brand. oops..
oh but they going with the suggestion of the person that is the poorest... so I got in line ahead of you.
