Just getting a baseline for air fuel ratio, we got 150 ft-lb and 165 HP, this is with the smog/cat cams. No wonder the Chev Cobalts blow the car away.:)

AFR was mostly about 14:1 except it is too lean on throttle mashing, and a carb seems to slacking.

In storage for 15 years, that doesn't surprise me.

He said pull plugs and look for the offending carb, rebuild and sync all the carbs, or at least change the accel pump diaphragms, and from there, rebuild heads, get better cam shafts, convert to throttle body EFI and put a turbo on it.

I will consider the EFI and turbo, the motor rebuild was already planned.

Ferrari rated the later smog engines (78-82) at 205 HP at the flywheel. Using the generally accepted 17% drivetrain loss, as well as error factors of most dyno's, your motor seems to be putting out rated power.

Curious why you want to turbo instead of supercharge
