...and I have met your car already - beautiful car :)

Actually, do you remember when I was "chasing you" in a huge Iveco truck at some French / Swiss hairpins ?

    All the best

That was fun :) especially watching the faces of the bemused residents of the small villages we were going through, a story for their grand children...
I see your car is progressing. All the best with your venture and if you find time send over some high-res pictures please.
    Cheers.

Haha, Stratos, I knew someone would catch those Ferrari hub caps. They were temporary (old picture), as the caps on the standard 14" wheels wouldn't fit the 15" competition wheels.

The Ferrari caps were "lost" quickly and replaced with convex "Campagnolo" aluminum hub caps, which I think is correct for the wheels.

So you will bring it back to full Gr4 spec, Racerboy9? How are you doing the interior? The car is in Europe?

Thanks for the pics of the 24 valve heads. Can you post one of the cam covers taken from the top, and also the inlet manifolds? What size Weber IDFs are you running?

    Thanks

Thank you Gary, a bit flashy though and from them, I am not so sure... ;o)
    It still is a guideline...

About 15 years ago, I installed these Omp VID ("very important driver!) seats, whose backrest reclined more than other fixed-seat racing seats. Not original, they fit better than the original seats. Someday, I may reinstall those quaint, really tight, suede Stratos seats.

Yes, my suede seats look like those. You have to be skinny to fit in them.

Yes, that is a very low-mileage car (mine already has 16,000 kms). It should be restored sympathetically.

I hope I am not taking this thread too off point, but what is the going rate by variant for one of these amazing cars?

But can the FIAT Dino obliterate everything produced since the 70s to nowadays on each way to a mountain top?
