I was wondering if the 355 front bumper can be fitted on the 348. If anyone knows please let me know.

I know of a F348 that had 4 corners torn off in a crash. The owner found that F355 parts were less expensive. Thus, this F348 challenge looks like an F355 excepting the rear deck and rear 1/4 panels.

Now whether they just bolt on or need some finagling, I don't know.

Excellent. I dont think I will remove those strakes though. But that fog light place gives me an idea. Brake cooling ducts anyone? :) Excellent. IMO 348 with 355 front bumper = one of the best looking Ferraris of all time. Thanks ernie. Maybe I should search a little more next time.

Not to mention that it is infinitely more practical on the street - and even more so than our SS front ends!

Oh, is clearance particularly a problem?

    All the best,

Yep, the 'SS lip' is low and can be smashed off if not careful. :D:D

Ouch! It makes me cringe just thinking about it.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone have the bodywork ground clearance measurements for?

+348 ......... I was in the passenger seat of a very nice 348SS when it happened ....... it makes a very unhappy sound ........ :( ............. there is much better clearance in a 355 .......... ;)

I also believe and correct me if I am wrong but the 355 bumper also seems more aerodynamic than the 348. I'm also thinking a little splitter underneath might help with downforce.

Interesting, that's ~10.1cm so pretty close to that of the BMW MINI (12cm, so 4.7 inches standard) mine is more like 9.5cm (~3.75 inches) due to some chassis braces underneath. So that's not bad going for clearance at all in a 355. :)

But the problem is the length of the overhang. Its a ***** trying to climb over steep road humps and carparks and also coming down declines onto flat surfaces. That makes the 360 or even the Maser GT a more practical car for everyday use.

Is there any way to modify the underside of the front spoiler on a 348/355 to improve practicality without ruining the aesthetics or aerodynamics?

    All the best,
    Andrew.

So from what I gathered from this thread true? can the rear end of the 355 bolt right on to the 348 ?

Ferrparts has 355 rear ends on sale for $1450

It would bolt right on but from some other info the bumper might stick out a bit at the sides.

You can put skid plates so that the bumper doesn't get rubbed down but it also means less clearance again. I just live with it, avoid strange carparks and angle the car to negotiate steep humps. It is the declines that are the killers.

It actually looks good, but the 348 driving lights looks tough.
