Great pictures guys. Truly fantastic. Sorry for the rewind, but when Jim had the car there was a link to many, many pictures of the restoration process of his 1:1 car, which I can not find now. Can anyone point me in the right direction please.
The car, along with all her souvenirs, was sent to Travis this morning. It should arrive in Utah within 10 days. I'm sorry if I held on to it a little longer than planned. I was hoping that it could participate in an Italian Ferrari Club meeting but unfortunately that was not possible. I took some pics this morning before she embarked on her next journey. Here are a couple. A few more will follow later. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

I wanted to ask you guys again if you wanted me to hang on to the items being shipped with the car? I'm the original shipper of the car for those who don't remember, and I would hate to see anything get lost in the mail. I'll let you guys decide, but I'd love to get the car again just so I can scan everything for the website. (Yes the website I have promised lol) Thanks again for all the great photos. Dale
Such awesome shots, it will be hard to compete with these. I have a few surprises in store that will be pretty cool if they pan out. I'm very excited to receive the car! Dale, I will plan on sending the car back to you next for some updating. Any word back from Guiness?
Nothing back from GB yet but I'm going to send them a link to the photos this time and more info on the cars trip. I was thinking, maybe you could ship it to my friend who is in the same city and that way we don't mess up the record attempt. I can scan everything at his place and bring the car over here for pics then ship if off to who ever wants it next. I have a pal in Australia who has been on the list for a while, but if anyone in the states wants it first let me know.
First off, thanks to Carlo for sending the package with all its contents and to the FChatters keeping this going! Here's a small taste while I get the rest of the pics up. It was a surreal feeling cruising the Bonneville Salt Flats. It feels like you are sitting still, but the speedometer says otherwise. I wasn't comfortable pushing any faster due to unknown conditions...it was raining afterall...but the salt layer was still rock hard. It's something every car fan should experience. Too bad for rain today, but it did make for some interesting pics. I made a 325 mile road trip, which I love to do. Came home $40 lighter thanks to the craps table! 1. Received the package and found some cool stuff! 2. On the beach of the Great Salt Lake (GSL). 3. Same as 2. 4. P4 getting her wheels a little wet in the GSL. 5. P4 at Saltair. A lot of interesting history here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saltair,_Utah (A lot of the pictures you see of people "floating" in the GSL are taken at Saltair) 6. P4 at the rest stop just prior to the Bonneville Salt Flats. 7. At the Salt Flats. 8. P4 on a rough patch of the Salt Flats. 9. A stretch of road I know I've seen in some movies, possibly Resident Evil Extinction. 10. P4 (very small!) at the sign to the entrance of the Salt Flats. 11. P4 on the roof of my dirty car at the Salt Flats. 12. P4 on the flats in the middle of nowhere. Very surreal there, nobody in view in any direction. The only thing you hear is the breeze. 13. P4 on the Nevada side of Wendover. Hopefully more to come tomorrow, and hope you guys enjoy these! I'm glad the P4 made it safely to Utah! It arrived earlier than I would have expected. All the better! Those salt plains certainly make an impression. Excellent pics Travis! I'm looking forward to the others to come
interesting pics - lots of space at the salt flats. are they open for anybody to set a personal speed record? nice to see that the austria club magazines "stradale" are still with the P4.
Thanks for the comments. The Flats are open, but I'm not really sure what the policy is on personal records outside of sanctioned events. There is no posting I could see about it, but the smooth, prepared surface area is a little hard to find unless they have it marked for events. More info can be found here http://www.saltflats.com. I suggest seeing the Burklands 450+ MPH Pass video towards the bottom of the page. Next year will have a very special FCar going for a record. I'm not sure how much I can share about it, so I won't mention any more yet.

What started out as a terrible day (walked out of a Doctor's appt after waiting over 2 hrs) and almost getting side-swiped by an inattentive driver at 75 mph on the freeway, I managed to make it to the Miller Motorsports Park (MMP) track and museum. The museum has a large collection of the late Larry H. Miller's collection of Fords, Cobras, Shelby's, etc. These first 3 pics may be a little sacrilegious as I believe the P4 shared a track a time or 2 with them. I'm sure some of you will recognize them and some of their sisters. The next 2 shots are taken at the track at MMP. The sixth is a pic with a Cayman being built by Tatum Racing for the Grand Am/Koni series next year. (A big thanks to them for being so cool, and giving me a Ferrari shirt!) The next shot was taken with 4 Audi R8's (including one with the V10) that I saw at the dealership while driving to meet my wife for dinner. The final 2 are taken at the Salt Lake Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormons). No trip to Utah is complete without going to Temple Square first. My camera died so the Temple pictures were taken with my cell phone. Big thanks to the folks at MMP for allowing me to take pics with the cars! I'll take a few with my collection, then have a few more places I'd like to go before shipping her off again. Hope you enjoyed the pics!
