I'm in Florida. Looking at 612s. Any comments on this dealer would be appreciated. PM me if you don't want to state publicly. Many thanks in advance. Rob
FWIW, if you really want to know, do a search. Otherwise you are just going to get opinions from "whoever is walking by". There have been a couple of threads on this recently. Good luck getting a 612; they're awesome cars. Are you looking at a car they have or looking for someone to do a PPI?
I can tell you that I purchased my 2000m360 MT from FOLI in Aug 2008. The car is great, never a day of problems and I drive it. They have been up front with me in sales and service has been great.
the car is great because it is a ferrari, not because who sold it...as for their sales and service...well you might have been one of those lucky customers or simply paid for that in the price of your car...FoLI stinks as a dealer...period.
I went to look at a 355 they have there. When I got there it was down at their service shop. This was determined after 2 people thought they sold the car already. They brought the car up from the service shop after about 40 min. while the sales associates helped others. When the car was brought up, it was FILTHY! I mean, at least spray it down with a hose. Looked like it had been sitting outside for months. After I looked at it, I decided that it was not a car worthy of me spending $70K on, so I passed. So then I went to look at a 360 Modena they had outside and it took another 30 min to find the keys to it. Then a different associate came outside with a license plate and asked if I was going to test drive it. I said I would like to, yes. He went back inside and never returned. Needless to say, service was not spectacular in my opinion. Then to cap it all off, it sounded like an associate was having a minor argument with another associate in the public eye. So like any good customer, I saddled up and returned home without making a purchase. I remember when they were in Glen Cove. Everytime I went to just browse, they were excellent and more than happy that I was there, showing me around and down to the service area, etc... That is the impression that made me go back to FoLI to look to purchase my first Ferrari. This trip did not leave me with any positive impressions. Oh yeah, I also asked if they could locate a car for me and in not so many words the sales associate basically told me no because they don't make as much on it.
While it is true that the car is great because its a Ferrari, you're missing my point. The car was as represented. The major was done as part of the deal and its performed flawlessly day 1. The service has been excellent and at a competitive cost. Further, I stop by on regular basis to check out what is new and they always take the time to chat, and offer me a test drive on whatever I like. So,the bottom line of my post(s) are to point our my surprise at the bad experiences that others may have had.
Not a Ferrari, but when I bought my Collector's Ed. Vette years back the sales person Bob was so happy for me that he would show up at my house with a bunch of high end cleaning products and help me wash and detail the car. True Story. That's service from an enthusiast sales associate!!
