Yeah, but he's pretty well liked still in UGA. Plus I just don't liek bringing back inside people for a house cleaning. I'd be afraid it'd be another Bob Stoops type thing.

Wow, TCU wins one in a freezer to go 5-0 and drop two places in the rankings..........

I guess they were actually supposed to beat AF more handily but I wonder how anyone would have played in that weather.............

I'll be the tall guy with the crimson shirt and tie next to the hot brunette with the houndstooth scarf.

    Been waiting since Saturday!
    ---

    Just saw this.

COLUMBIA, S.C. -- South Carolina has suspended running back Jarvis Giles for the Gamecocks' game at No. 2 Alabama. Offensive line starter Heath Batchelor also won't make the trip. South Carolina athletic spokesman Steve Fink said on Friday that Giles violated team and university policy. The freshman was the 22nd-ranked Gamecocks' second-leading rusher this season with 245 yards. Fink said he did not know if Giles' suspension would extend past the game at Tuscaloosa on Saturday. Multiple media outlets have reported that Batchelor left the team this week. Fink would not comment on the reports. Second-team receiver Dion Lecorn and backup defensive end Byron McKnight will miss the game with injuries.

You certainly can't fault the South Carolina fans. They are enthusiast / optimistic whether the team is 6-0 or 0-6... The SC / Bama game could be a good one. some other interesting matchups this weekend. Miami is playing a trap game (as all the remaining games on our schedule could be), but I think we will win it.
    GO CANES!!!

I'll be at the Red River Shootout tomorrow morning, wish the game was still as hyped as it was preseason, unfortunately with Choklahoma dropping two games it's lost some of its luster. Still pretty important as Texas really hasn't shown that we deserve to be the #2 much less #3 or #4 team in the country.

    Colorado State at TCU

    Colorado State- field goal 3-0
    Colorado State- field goal 6-0

End of first quarter Colorado State 67 yards total offense, TCU 37 total yards.
    2nd quarter
    TCU- field goal 6-3
    TCU- Touchdown 10-6
    TCU- Touchdown 17-6

    3rd quarter
Colorado State takes kickoff and has to punt
    TCU -Touchdown 24-6
    Colorado 3 and out-punt
    TCU -Touchdown 31-6
    Colorado 3 and out-Punt
    TCU -Touchdown 38-6
    Colorado 3 and out-punt
Colorado now has 107 yards total offense at the end of the 3rd..........gained only 40 yards in last two quarters......

    4th quarter
TCU -Touchdown -missed PAT bad hold 44-6. 12 minutes remaining in game........
Out come the reserves on both defense and offense...........
    Colorado State punts...............
TCU now has 234 yards rushing and 254 yards passing.........10 minutes remaining in game.
Colorado State takes over on downs at own 20 with 4 minutes left............TCU has had 13 different ball carriers today..........Letting everyone play. I wonder how the water boy felt when they put him in????

Looks like TCU will be 6-0 after today....

How about Texas Tech and Arkansas today??? And Ohio State loses it....wow.....what a day.........

TCU Started very slowly. Finally started to pick it up in the second quarter. Colorado State started strong but Mason, their main running back went out in the first quarter and their offense sputtered.

In the mids of most of their fans, SC was 12-0 prior to the start of actual playing...

I suspected Arkansas would give Florida a good game. I'm glad Miami won, and VT lost. If we win out we should definitely get to play in one of the big bowls. Unfortunately I don't see us winning out unless we get a bit better. There will be one of those freak games with snow or something non-tropical...
    Lots of upsets today.
Alabama looks like they should win it now. I suspect they will get more first place votes after Florida's tough win.

Credit to South Carolina's pass rush and coverage down field. But they didn't have a prayer to stop Ingram tonight. 240+ hard-earned yards. Amazing performance.

McElroy never got settled, had a poor night against a good defense. And they made a lot of penalties...way too many. Didn't agree with a couple, but they played pretty sloppy...so then they hand off to Ingram. And he breaks it big. They still have some tough games like these left. I think next week at Tennessee could be a lot like today but hopefully not. Saban will certainly have some things he wants to work on...

    Vah'Tech flames-out, a rare mid-season loss for them. BCS NCG, buh-bye.

(Good for the Canes woo-hoo, as they just got trap-games left this season!)

Very rare & unexpected (2nd) OSU loss before Penn State / Michigan game. BCS NCG, buh-bye.

Oklahoma w/ 3 losses. In a season. Before a CCG or a bowl. BCS bowl bid, buh-bye.

USC scraping/scrapping/escaping. '09 might be Carroll's toughest & best job ever as Trojans coach, if they win-out.

Texas, Florida... the presumed best-of-the-best in the nation playing mediocre & underachieving weekly w/ the amount of talent. The former's offense & the latter's defense may get them to the BCS NCG.

'Bama, ball's in your hands. Best team this year, IMVHO. . .

Hail to PITT! (every time I start to get hopeful w/ them, they end up losing... :p)

Iowa & Cincy leading BCS conferences, while still undefeated. Whodathunk it?!?
Because of your posts/mentions of North Texas (as-per being your alma mater) in this thread, I smile/chuckle when I come across them in my weekly game picks roll-sheet. I often heed your advice, and bet accordingly! :D

Alabama's big talent loss from last year was on the Offensive line, but you wouldn't know that from tonight. Very good blocking, which was a surprise...leading very good running, which was *not* a surprise.

Alabama's defense looked first rate. Kick return team could use a little work, still.

Alabama's D hasn't missed two outstanding linebackers, one out with an injury, another suspended for accepting a laptop as a gift. The thought that both of those missing linebackers could *return* to play (next year, next week, sometime) should terrify opposing Offensive Coordinators.

This is a very good team.

I was in the front row of the North endzone for the BAMA game -- both Tide touchdowns were on our end. Great seats, so neat to see Erin Andrews, Mal Moore, President Witt, and of course, all the players and coaches.

Seeing Saban's face as he went into the tunnel at the end of the game.....let's just say you wouldn't have thought his team won the game......and THAT'S why he was hired.

Tuscaloosa was great, HUGE crowd for homecoming, not just for the game but on the quad and downtown. South Carolina fans were great before and after, and I live in the upstate of SC.

7-0, #1 Crimson Tide ----- and Florida looks even more beatable.....to be continued!

I agree with Alabama getting the number 1 ranking today. Really glad Miami picked up a few spots with an easy win over UCF. If we get to a BCS game this year I'll be very happy. The odds of that happening? I'd say about 40% (VT and GT each get about a 30% chance). If any of these teams lose to the other side in the ACCCG I'd be surprised.
I'm glad USC won, I can't stand the scheduling the Irish get with such easy chances to make one of the big bowls.
    GO CANES!!!
