Clearly the most interesting, but didn't we determine that Peter's car was the first completed and out of the factory..
Hope this is not a repost http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FoMmI8qXQnw Now anyone has more pics of the RED Wolf Countach ? Thanks
What the heck? Hand clutch and hand shifter at the same time. Who's steering? God bless the owner for setting up the car, a determined enthusist.
I still find it hard to believe that no photos of my 1121006 has not popped up. I realize that my car most likely went to Iran and it was pretty close to the US/Iran hostage crsis. But these days with the worldwide internet I would've figured at least one photo would show up. Anyone have any thoughts on that? I don't think it was in Iran for very long, 2 years maybe. First photos I've seen was when I bought it on (actually off of) ebay.
Peter, i bet there are some old pics of your car...somewhere... do you happen to know previous owners? when it came to US? problem is they are very likely old pics and not digitals so as long as nobody scan them you won't see one on the net i got this old one tks to a good friend and countach fan the wing was not the correct model for the car Image Unavailable, Please Login
Peter: Your car never went to Iran. It was delivered in Geneva to Wilemin, then Majid P acquired it. When Majid went to Iran, he did so from his Beverley Hills home, and he did not take the car. According to Trefor Thomas who traveled there with him, he (Majid) was not allowed back out of Iran again, and unfortunately was (allegedly) executed by the regime of the time.
1121002 was the first Countach S completed by the works. However, it was immediately sent to Dallara to work his magic, and the completion date of March the 13th 1978 reflects this tenure. Then it was taken to the Geneva Salon, before Wolf finally took delivery on April the 10th. 1121002 is considered the 'prototype' LP400S Series 1. 1121006 is the 'first completed & delivered' LP400S Series 1. 1121004 is the 'first production' LP400S Series 1.
I believe this is a video of # 1120172 being driven along with two other Countachs. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xDGeibpzGMU&feature=PlayList&p=24FD07C61B7A1634&playnext=1&playnext_from=PL&index=4 I might add he does quite a good job of driving it. Those that complain that the Countach is hard to steer get an eye full. Vic

I'm reading a book right now, in wich Bob said that the Miura Jota was not for sissies, but I guess that might includes a Countach as well ;-) Ciao! Marcel
