The car was sold some years ago, I think about 3 years? I don't know where it was sold to, but I think it's still in Germany.
Hi Joe, One question about 288 : I have already seen cars with only two exhausts instead of regular four. As far as I remember, 54799 was like this, even if I am not sure, I cannot find pics from the rear. Do you know if it was done in the factory, or aftermarket ? How many cars had those 2 exhausts ? Here is a pic of a car, I suppose, a french one, found on internet. Image Unavailable, Please Login

As seen in a north suburban Chicago car show about 2 weeks ago. Don't have any info on the car but it was stunning. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2560/3982012475_61ddb097f2_o.jpg http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2444/3982775314_0a555fb234_o.jpg http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2610/3982014073_0d2c675b5c_o.jpg
That was the owner of the car. He had his foot resting on the tire and I took the shot as he pulled his foot away. Here's another shot... http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2461/3982012841_e12ebd1db0_o.jpg

Interior color:Black Transmission:5-speed manual Body Style :Coupe Engine:8 Cylinder Turbo VIN:ZFFPA16B000053289 Vehicle Description NOT FOR SALE IN CALIFORNIA. The first Ferrari Supercar and the rarest one! Twin turbo V8 power fury...true 80's style Supercar...scary, crude, mean, fast and perfect! A truly special, rare and collectible Ferrari. Only 272 made. Odometer is in kilometers. Inquire for details. I was just wondering what it takes to register a car like that in California?
It would need to be made to conform to California BAR to register it here, a not inconsiderable undertaking.
Hey Joe, I recently saw this 288 in Illinois. It had painted bumpers. The car has an Indiana plate. I didn't get a chance to see the Serial No. but I got a few pics. Any info?
