Start point is in Doylestown on Sunday, October 25th and it will be about a 2 hour drive ending with fun music, drinks and food!

Don't forget...it's Halloween themed this year and we are giving awards for People's Choice Best Costume.

I hope to see you there!

Probably not going to make the rally. No navigator . Y'all have fun, stay safe.
    Bob

If anyone needs my spot, let me know. Still owe Joe Mac. for the tickets anyway.

I thought the Rally was going to be just fun. What does the navigator have to do? We have never done one before, and it was just going to be my wife and I.

Oh, there are prizes of course! You will be given a packet with directions and questions to answer. It is do-able without a navigator, but not easy. You will have to follow the directions on your sheets as well as answer questions by looking for things during your drive.

Can you break that down and explain what it means? I've watched it on tv and played rally games, but I never caught on to it.

Flat left six plus tightens = Left curve w/ decreasing radius that you wouldn't brake for.

three hundred = straight for 300 yards or meters depending nationally of driver or event.

keep left over small crest = keep left side of small hill to set up for upcoming right curve.

thirty = another distance of straight, 30 is very short though

caution turn hairpin right don't cut = warning, junction w/ another road w/ tight long right curve in which you don't want to be hugging apex (rock, stump, tree, culvert,...on apex)

into = distance less than 30

jump two hundred = jump with straight of 200 yards/meters

Written in shorthand by codriver except that the L6+> would have line drawn over it to represent 'flat' which I can't format in post here:

    L6+> 300 kpL/smC
    30 ! turn HRP R n.c. -> jmp 200

Least amount of spoken sylables to accurately describe the road features and raceline read at precise moment driver needs the information. Warn driver too early, lose time to competitors; warn them too late, potential for crash.

Luckily I will be typing the directions up and I promise not to use rally language!!

It's better to have a navigator but its possible to do it on your own. Nothing crazy. It will be a fun drive!

Thanks Dave. It makes sense now that I had someone explain it. I think I'll try that on the rally with Joe Z and see what happens :)

Bob C. Nice airborne maneuver. Thanks for the sneak preview of what my car was going to do a mere second or so later. Who knew Ferraris could fly?

Jon - nice tat. No, really. I think you might want to go get that done up in a more permanent kind of way. You two were robbed on the best costume award. Robbed!!

Joe M - That hair was an especially nice look for you. As always, great to see a CS being driven just like Enzo's MOM would. :D

Interesting route to say the least. And nothing like being the 15 or 20th car out to reap the benefit of the early guys getting out and alerting EVERY FRIGGIN' POLICE OFFICER within a ten mile radius to the rally course.

Oh, and for those of you who missed the citizen's arrest road block. That was some mean ass woman with her note pad and her vehicle parked all the way across the street. Sheesh, only takes one ******* to spoil a party. We usually reserve that job for Joe Z, but fortunately that snarly woman took care of it for him.

And last but not least, I'd like to point out that this was an event that I ACTUALLY ATTENDED. No broken promise this time, no sir. Maybe a broken belly pan on the Modena, but no broken promise.

Book this event now for next year fellas, because it is a very good time.

    "I resemble that!"

BTW, Mr. Moderator, I just learned a new trick from you! Apparently, if I say *******, it gets filtered out, but make them two words, ASS HOLE, and WALA! In the coming weeks I will be sure to test the limits of this clever system.

    On another note,
Guys, I had a blast today getting High on Bob's exhaust, seeing my financial planner in full leather, and seeing Joe M. finally let his hair down while his passenger hurled chunks from the passenger seat. On second thought, in many respects it was just like any other C&C weekend.

My sincerest Thank you to everyone at Algar for such a wonderful event. It was an absolutely fantastic time!

Welll let me just say that this event was simply a blast. Everything from my "warning" from officer Daniels to the silver tray award for answering the most questions correctly and seeing all you car people in between. Wow....What a terrific weekend. Dave not a snowballs chance in Hell I'm going to get a tattoo....not when I can have a different one every weekend :) Jon in Delaware

Great day and awesome event! Thank you Algar!

I had a blast!!! And thanks to Joe M (of Team Chowder fame!) for talking Officer Shields out of giving us a nice ticket in Dirty Jersey!

Other than the crackpot guy in the Minivan and his notepad and pen wielding women, I can't think of a thing that I would have changed today! A great group of guys and gals and a some awesome cars!

hey who knew? I thought ******* was two words. my bad.

Bob's car does have a particularly sweet aroma, doesn't it?? One advantage to a modern Ferrari become obvious to me. We can shut the windows, hit the recirculate button on the A/C and no longer feel like passing out from underburned hydrocarbons. :D

However, we finished too late to even qualify for the last place finishing car award. Darn!

P.S. We had fun, and that's what's important.
