For those of you that have the opportunity to drive your F cars frequently, this note will probably make little sense.

My line of work limits the time I have to take a decent road trip (6 weeks per year home, the rest in south america), so I have been looking forward to some driving in the California high desert en route to visit my son.

So back in May I left our 1990 348 TS with Cavallo Motorsports in Carlsbad, California for a little needed work. Chris Dugan dismantled the diff, checked the trans, and installed a new AC compressor with a R134 conversion.

Sunday, the wife an I set off and by the time we reached Kramer Junction in the Mohave desert, it was 104 Deg outside. The AC worked perfectly.
We cut across through the Tehachapi Mountains into the San Joaquin Valley at a nice rate of speed, little traffic, few cops.......... just fantastic.
Drive back to San Diego the same. No slow down lights, no glitches, no weird noises....just the rumble of the 348 at speed through HFlow cats and a Stebro sports exhaust.

So to me, this is what it's all about. A trouble free - high speed - comfortable 2 days in the 348, just enjoying the Ferrari personality that makes these cars so unique.

It's a good thing the car had no problems. You would not get much help in the desert.
