Yes. Please allow me to join your minority. And I fully agree about the lack of moderation in this section. A few days ago there was this hispanophobic comment, which I sent to the supposed moderators (obviously without any answer or action): Quite apart from the vulgarity, I can only imagine the reaction on the board if somebody posted an equally rude and offensive statement about Americans or Texans.
I hope so, however that would be as hard as finding a piece of hay in an incredibly large stack of needles..
I don't understand that sport Dave. Crying out loud a film just come on here on called Saw 2 got to turn it off its gruesome.
I would not argue for Schumachers innocence when he parked his car at Monaco, I want to win because we have a better car, driver or race strategy, why include me in that situation ? On the other hand, I will not denounce the team for hiring Alonso, and will only have positive comments about that move. This is what the Tifosi do, SUPPORT THE TEAM ! That was the title of the thread I believe, wheres the support for the team ?? It sure wont be coming from you. Telling me I can't think for myself is quite rude, what gives you that impression ? It seems you're jumping to all sorts of conclusions.
Chris your contradicting yourself, I used MS as an example if you want to be included in that so be it, I never said you can't think for yourself did I. That was my take on a blinkered Ferrari fan the team the driver they can do no wrong, you state Tifosi support the team, regardless, well for one Andreas is the biggest Alonso fan on here, and he is of the same opinion as me. If you take my post as a slur on you then thats up to you, only it makes me wonder why. However if you want to continue to have a battle of wits please continue, but please don't tell me about my support Ferrari, you don't know me, thats rude.
You included me at the end of your post, clearly your pointing your finger at me. Maybe you should try judging each person on their own merits. I don't believe I have anything "wrong" you just don't understand is all. People here don't really understand true devotion to Ferrari, I don't mean condoning cheating, just a true love of Ferrari.
Chris, No offense man but you're not familiar enough with the guys here to make such a statement. You really don't know who some of these guys are and I dare say you'd be quite amazed at who you'll be talking to on F-Chat. David
I think when you stated this fact the finger pointing started here. Regardless of what!!! You were taking a dig at ME so carrying on laughing, I beg to differ, your version of a true tifosi is wrong. You don't understand the red blinkers comment. If you proclaim to know what right and wrong is, then how can you deal with the fact when Ferrari does do something wrong, without wearing blinkers to shut it out. As for myself I drive a Ferrari and I love it and I'm proud of Ferrari's achievements in F1, but not all.
People love to bring up Schumacher's park job, the team didn't tell him to do that, Schumacher was quite shifty, what about after him ? What wrongdoing are you referring to ? And let's not go back to the Schumacher era, let's keep it current. You seem to throw a blanket over people with the red blinker statement, then joke with your buddies who post pictures of sheep, this is what maddens me about the red blinker comment which usually comes out when someone has no argument left.
To quantify Tifoso you would negate its value. What they are saying is to care about Ferrari beyond its faults, beyond "logical" argument, in other words to love Ferrari, which implies transcendence, thus infinity. So you have Love and Belief, Pride and Suffering. It doesn't imply sheep nor closed eyes. It is thinking with more than the "logical" intellect and extending beyond the sensible world into pure consciousness. That's what racing is all about.
No offense to you either but you don't know who I am, do you ? Works both ways. One thing that is consistent though, anybody who confesses to be diehard Tifosi gets buried with a ton of posts, all negative. Phil is the first person sense I've been posting here to ask where the support for the Scuderia is around here, I've wondered the same thing from day 1...
No I don't. That's why I addressed you with respect and offered what I think is good advice in a polite manner. No offense was intended. David
Was I impolite ? You're reading something that's not there. Sorry, I didn't see any "advice" in your post, it sort of reminds me of the pompous dude who says "do you know who I am ?" That's the wonderful thing about internet forums, there's no pecking order, each person is responsible for his or her words is all. I'm very capable when it comes to spirited debate, sport breeds passion.
I am surprised that nobody has mentioned what the word tifoso really means, and Wikipedia is as clueless as you all are, although Plasmid gets close. It seems that none of you speak Italian (unlike FA and myself).
Ciao
Come on Julio, you're the one who wants to join the Tifosi, what will you do with your closet full of Renault team gear ???
