I came across this video from a reporter for the LA Times listing the Dino 206 Competizione (and the F40) as being among the ugliest cars at The Quail, a few months back.

I must say that I disagree!

There's probably somebody somewhere that cares about what that guys opinions are. I don't know who that might be.

LOL. Hey Dan, how about giving us your opinion on what cars you think are beautiful? Somehow I think that might be sticking your neck out too much.

Yes Jim it's mightily ugly indeed. Please sell it to me and your problem will be solved. I have a nice Pinto wagon I can trade you for.

I've seen F40s up close and they're not ugly; they're brutal and aggressive, but I would not call them ugly. They are among the more spectacular of Ferraris built. Napolis' car, the yellow Dino, that's beautiful. I guess we must accept dissenting opinions; the reviewer is entitled to his views. He just picked the absolute wrong Ferraris to trash. The problem is he chose to go right for the holy grail, the F40, which lowers his credibility as a reviewer if he insists it's ugly.

Opinions are fine but Dan's video reminds me of that unimpressively pretentious non-car person who shows up to a car show and has a case of explosive verbal diarrhea in their self imposed "cone of silence" while the owner stands nearby within earshot. "Journalism" with no leg to stand on...

We probably shouldn't take seriously the opinions of a man dressed like he was.

Aesthetics are always fertile ground for easy argument and cheap commentary. Plus, if ugliness/prettiness was the only criteria for anything, most of us would be single and many of us wouldn't have cars.

His voice is nothing less than grating, and wearisomely so. Does that qualify?

Thank you for sharing. I have always enjoyed see more of the 206 Competizione Prototipo.
As for the announcer, it is better to look stupid than to open ones mouth and remove all doubt.

This guy is just out to lunch..........to criticize what is considered by most the penultimate design study of the 1960s is just laughable and then to go after the F40 is just too much.

You just have to laugh it off..
