you can easily get one for around or even less than 10 euros on Ebay France... which is a "shame" as it is a really nice little book packed with valuable informations...

i list alos this one in french which is a kind of comic book from Jean Graton and son (who did the Michel Vaillant comic...)

as usual be careful when buying these Mille Miglia books online because of the re-varnished pictures which usually (often) stick together...

I've inserted tracing paper into each of my MM books, but alas it was too late in some cases. It's a shame as they are quality books.

Be careful dealing with him. I got ripped off on a damaged item he never replaced or refunded.

i have never been able to find one perfect, always at least a couple of pages lighly sticked together, when these books were re-varnished at the printing company, they were closed before the varnish was dry... i even came across one at Gilena bookstore where all the pages were damaged, and the price was a crazy 80 euros...

I've dealt with Paolo for more than 25 years, and never had a problem with him. If there's been an issue he has ALWAYS sorted it out. I would recommend him everytime without hesitation.

So would I. Never had any problem with him.

Just keep in mind that "perfect" or "mint" is a matter of opinion.

    Best regards

I also own this awesome book! Can you tell me more on the paper you put between the pages? I have the same problem with sticking pages but luckily no damaged pages yet...
Maybe it helps going true the book often... ;) :)

    Hello Maarten
It's what we know as tracing paper. It's almost see-through. Children use it to place over a picture and then draw on it to copy the picture below. I have put it between the colour pages as these seem to be the pages worst affected by sticking.
    Hope that helps

Is this problem known also for other Ferrari books? I mean it's not everyday you go through your whole book colletion, so maybe somewhere there's a hidden one which may be affected...

To the best of my knowledge it is mainly the 4 Mille Miglia books that are affected. They are beautifully produced with each photo individually gloss varnished on semi-matt paper, but it is this gloss varnishing which appears to cause the problems.

Just a quick question - wouldn't Wax paper be better than the Tracing Paper?

What titles are you referencing with the 'sticky' pages?

Tracing paper, or "onion skin" if you are in the architectural field.

Long term I'd go the effort of finding something "acid free"...off hand I'm not sure exactly what, check an art supply and explain the dilemma.

I wouldn't use wax paper. Tracing paper is similar to the semi-clear paper that one finds in photo albums. That's the stuff to use. I put mine in about two years ago and it seems to be working fine.

I bought 2 or 3 Ferrari dealer signs from him, no problems at all. I then bought a wall mounted Cavallino that arrived smashed to bits. Numerous emails, many promises, lots of BS and it was NEVER rectified. My experience tells me the guy is fine until something goes wrong. If you deal with him regularly, ask him why he didn't fix this situation up.

    Cheers
    Scott

I agree also don't use wax paper. I have used tracing paper in the La Mille Miglia books since I bought them in '93 and they are still fine. I never had a problem with the 250 GT "No. 2643" book so haven't put the tracing paper in it not sure why it has been ok and the others needed the paper.

All up the guy stole something like $1200 from me. It was made of metal and resin and was quite heavy. Poor packaging meant it was always going to end in tears. Beware of
    Paolo Tron on eBay!

Just received mine from amazon.com (U.S.) for just over $44, though it probably won't remain that deeply discounted for long.

With all the Ferrari books already out there, a different approach had to be tried and I agree that Pritchard did a good job. I'm surprised that all the team managers were not listed (Daniele Audetto, for example) and I wish that some of the better known mechanics, such as Borsari or Cuoghi, had been included. And note that there are drivers listed who never drove a Ferrari in competition but either tested them or had some other impact on the Scuderia (like Bonetto, who almost ran Enzo Ferrari down during a Mille Miglia!).

And note that, in spite of the "Men" in the title, there are a few women included: Enzo's wife, Laura, for one. (But not Lina Lardi!)

If you want another Ferrari book, but one that tells the story in a different way, this is a good choice.
