Yeah, same here. Maybe the party is just a myth. Or maybe Mel has a 'secret-preferred customer list'. Sorry guys, but we're not on that list. Sob.
If you're not in a hurry, go ebay! No, I'm serious. Otherwise check with Daniel of Ricambi, an advertiser in this site & he stocks Lambo parts too. Btw, they did give you a 20% discount huh
For ONE rim, yeah... I think imma use the broken rim as a coffee table. Francis: Yeah, $6700 for the rim. Me: $6700 for all 4 rims? Francis: *evil diabolical laughter* Francis: No. 1 rim. Me: Is it REALLY broken? Like, cannot be used to drive broken? Francis: ....... Me: ok, ok....... Morale of the story: These cars are not meant to be driven!
I went to ebay! Couldn't find anyone selling 1 rim though. I'll check with Daniel of Ricambi. But don't tell ES They're nice though! they offered to loan a set of apollo rims so the car can get back on the road.
Ha! & I thought I'm the only one here who's cheap Seriously, be patient but the new model won't be there soon so I guess you can find Callisto or a good time for after market rims. Ching ching! LOL Yes, Daniel does give very good prices. I ever Fedexed a set of 19" from ebay with rubbers that costed me just S$700+ on shipping. Otherwise, I'm sure Mel will sell you a set of Apollo for cheap which you can use it for trackdays.
Hmm, sounds suspiciously familiar to me when he told me about the cooked ECU which costs S$5K & then Me: How much is the clutch job? I've been asking many times about it. F: Got it for you. $7K+ for the clutch after 20% Me: Oh, that's reasonable F: You also need the bearing. Which is $6K+ Me: Huh???!!! F: Then, there's the labour. About $3K Me: What?! What's the total then? F: tak tak tak. $17K Thank goodness for I've driven her like it's meant to @ 39K km & still going.
Yup in KL, yesterday went Times square! What time are you going for the test drive? i left my dSLR in hotel
i cracked a callisto in my prev. 4.5k.....ouch..but damn solid. andy came in 30 mins to gimme a spare apollo.
I feel your pain bro! Honestly, this is about the only place where you will get any sympathy. Outside of this forum, try telling someone that you have to pay $XXXX to repair/replace a part of your exotic and the common reaction will be "oh you poor thing" in a sarcastic tone - on the basis that if you can afford an exotic, what's another couple of thousands etc. As such, I agree with Jon that unless a part is under warranty or very crucial, it always makes sense to hunt around for the best prices (including ebay). I think we collectively have enough knowledge and/or info to help each other out. Good luck.
