It's owned by Pfaff themselves, as far as I know. One day I went looking for it cause I saw an AD in the oakville beaver... was very dissapointed when I got there, I didn't even get out of my car.

Budds has a '07 white on red on CF trim M6 cab with dinan exhaust. I sat in it today... me like!!

As for spotting, I saw a black X5 M in downtown oakville today, looked mean and subtle in the rain.

Oakville amazes me.......Everytime I've been there I always notice not only great cars, but the 'best' of great cars. Ie; all the Mercedes are "AMG", all the BMW's are "M", all the Range Rovers are Supercharged....etc. I don't think you will ever see any base model vehicles there!

The thing is, you never see flashy cars... no lambos, barely any ferraris, etc. but you do see a lot of S classes, SLs, CLSs, 7s, etc.

Completely agree. I just spotted a beautiful bronze-ish CLS63 AMG with limo tint. Looked fantastic.

I got smacked after lunchtime by a POS red light runner with no insurance who wanted to leave the scene. Sorry, no exciting F-car story.

Luckily I grabbed the license plate number of a witness (who confirmed my story) when the cops eventually arrived and the SOB said I was at fault.

Even when things are minor, you never know what will come back to haunt you later if you don't have witnesses.

This is definetly true. Oakville, as we know has the most money in Canada but very old money and very conservative. But I bet there are alot of low, low km goodies stashed away somewhere :). It's funny, because if you go 10 minutes away ie: Mississauga Rd then it gets flashier all of a sudden.

Lol, I know of nice metal here, but they remain tucked away. As someone else said, Oakville is very conservative old money. Its not like other places where people flash exotics like they're getting ID'd at a bar.

There are some serious cars in Oakville. I see quite a few of them, It would blow your mind what lurks in the garages along lakeshore, and other homes in the old Oakville areas.

I have had the pleassure of numerous house calls at various homes to pick up some rare and outstanding cars. One gentlemen has a 33 car garage, all spaces filled. His cars are on rotation at the shop. Drops one off, picks one up. Currently adding another garage to the property to keep up with his growing collection.

Thanks for the info. Certainly is a unique design.

Lots of amazing homes in Oakville so no surpise that a lot of these people have serious car collections. It would be great to see pictures of the 33 car garage - must be awesome. Lot of Ferraris?

You can't win if you don't buy a ticket http://www.helpconquercancer.ca/gp1.php. I think you would look good in this home Vasco :)

The most spectacular Oakville property sold a few years ago and was the home built by the computer guy who only lived there briefly. Christopher Invidiata sold that property for more than 32 million with multiple bids received. The property took up a whole block from Lakeshore Drive down to the lake. There are less large lakefront properties still intact there now. The town of Oakville has a rule if a property gets redeveloped ie. a condo project then the public gets access to the lakefront strip there. The 1500 feet of shoreline acerage sold for 30 million as a development in the east end is a prime example...

That house you talk about was owned by the owner of Mattamy homes and was bought by Edgemere estates, they want to build condos on the property. That property is beautiful, 32,000 sqft house, turn of the century buildings including green houses, a stone fence from the turn of the century, baseball diamond, etc. They are trying to get the town to change the bylaw from low density to a high density area so they can build the condos. Once they do this its a free for all, and they are trying to close down public schools. Well, guess what they're gonna build there if they change the by-laws? There was a residents association formed by the neighbors in order to fight Edgemere, and other issues, and we've been fighting for over a year. We recently hired a lawyer for 150k. They didn't see this coming, that's for sure, but that's what happens when you try to screw over the wealthiest area of the wealthiest town in Canada.

Mr. C, yes that was a big one. But wasnt the most spectacular home in Oakville built by the beer executive guy from Belgium? It was soo big that the town had to intervene? LOL I think Tom knows the place. We talked about this here before.

    yep, "the beer house".

those were 3 individual properties with houses on them. One day he knocked their doors and said "I want to buy your house", but they weren't for sale, so he offered them market value + 50%. Bought them, tore them down, made it one property and built that behemoth of a house, complete with a chapel.

I love it in oakville, only major complaint is i wish they never let them build right on the lake front. Imagine the great bike paths etc.

It's pretty cool to use Google Earth and see the places that have lakefront (and oceanfront if you browse down in places around the US like around Miami).

Yes, thats the house of Hugo Powell (Chelster Hall)........now retired CEO of Interbrew/InBev.

He basically took the company from $2 billion in sales to $25 billion in sales within 5 years. He is responsible for the huge popularity of Stella Artois, and Becks beer. The house is about 45,000 sqft, market value today would be around $65 + million CD.

My wife and I drove by the Cancer Lottery home last month, then we drove down this street next to the mansion. Words and Size do not do it justice, the house is 3 x times high as the other mansion on the street.

Take a look at the pic:

Yes it would be too bad to see the property given over to condos. Also there is the issue of 3 story buildings. On the other half of the property will they come back and say we want to build 10 story buildings in the future by then? More traffic with more density and more traffic lights added there on Lakeshore Road.

The 1908 12.5 acre lakefront property is another one that got chopped up for development. The old house had been used as a gallery. The city used that as a park for a while...

Mr V not to split hairs but I said 'property' as in house and land. I still think Ballymena built with 26,000 sq ft and 330 feet of shore line on 8 lakefront acres is spectacular. Plus the 10,000 sq ft coach house by the Lakeshore Road entrance on the left side of the property.
By the pictures> Chester Hall seems to be worth the reported 16m spent on the buildings but more land would have helped support that house...
