I used to have the same config but mine was a coupe with ball polished rims as well. I went to black powder coated. Did you do the same? If you did I bet it looks stunning.

Indeed... Rear wheel drive, old fashioned turbo, snowy road: it's a pretty interesting combination!

Beautiful car! Were you concerned driving in the snow?

    You must be a he11 of a driver. . .

A few years ago I took the Ferrari to a job site, then tried to drive it home over the ridge between Parker and Castle Rock (Colorado) after a snowstorm. Downshifted just a little too late after the crest of the ridge, and did a slow "helicopter" all the way to the bottom.

I managed to negotiate the curves, avoid colliding with anything, but couldn't get stopped or pull the car out of the slide.

Ended up facing the right direction in the lane I'd started in, and it was pretty much a straight shot home from there. To anyone who might have been watching, I just shrugged, a la PeeWee Herman, and said, "I meant to do that."

My Ferrari in snow? Never again.

Yeah, "My Ferrari in the snow? Never again." Absolutely!!!
The previous night I had gone to bed quite late and in the morning I hadn't had the time to watch the weather forecast. I wanted to go to this Ferrari rally that was held at about 70 kms from my home and seeing the dark clouds I had just thought thad all I could happen to face was a little bit of rain. When I had made just 20 kms I started to see cars covered in snow and began to wonder if making a U-turn would be a good idea.... Just a couple more kms later I was surrounded by snow, falling heavily from the sky. I stopped to make some pictures because I thought that I would never see my Ferrari in that situation again and it was worth a couple of shots... Going back home I was very careful with the throttle and the brakes and everything went ok. As my parents saw me back, they asked me if the car had had some mechanical failure. Just had to wait 10 minutes to see the storm arriving and they understood... :)

Jackmb1 and F328GTS/GTB, thanks for the compliments on my car! I guess it's a model you don't happen to see very often in your countries...

Indeed. Very interesting to us Americans who have never seen one.

That's a 208, correct? And with the Turbo added, must be a blast, literally, to drive. I'm glad you were able to keep it under control and get home safely!

I'm sure that others would love to see some more photos of your car. Interesting to pick out the differences between it and my American-spec 308 GTB.

I sure would, I didn't even know they made a 208 until Forza did a story on them not too long ago.

I can post some pictures of the car, but is it ok if they were taken on a sunny day? I don't know if this is the right thread for them and wouldn't like to be banned from here just after a few posts...

Been there. :( Judging from the snow, it looks like it was the wet, heavy, and very slippery kind. :(
