I would appreciate any information on Albert Silvera who owned the El Rancho Hotel in Port Au Prince, Haiti. A dyed-in-the-wool Lamborghinisti, he had several factory specials, one of which was 4990, pictured here outside the El Rancho circa mid-1970s. Image Unavailable, Please Login
BTW the El Rancho Hotel still exists. No Miuras there any longer though. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Might someone out there have recorded somewhere the color of sills that 3426 might have been delivered with? The car was originally Blue/Beige. I believe I may have found a predelivery photo of the car at the factory. Any help appreciated. Please email me.
As Michael Kadoorie told it to me: As planned, he arrived as a young man at the factory at the beginning of August 1969 to take delivery of the 446th Miura built. "Aaaah, signor Kadoorie, she is not quite ready yet!" was the response from Ubaldo Sgarzi. He then checked into the Grand Hotel in Bologna, and proceeded to drive to the factory in the little Fiat rental car every day, for the next 2 weeks, following "his" Miura down the assembly line to completion! Accordingly, he got the option of a few special features from the parts bin, such as reflectors in the doors, special seat setting, unorthodox wiper positioning (owner preference) etc. Payment completed and Wallace-tested, he hopped in, waved his goodbyes to the workers he had befriended over the previous fortnight, and gunned the new Miura through the factory gates and onto Via Modena. Michael still has his lifelong companion Miura of the past 50 years, and here it is today. Totally original, just like Michael. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
