No information on that in my database, I would love to know more if you remember the colors, options, mileage, date you sold it and where/to whom it sold.

Had I only knew that car was you, I would've asked around to find you. I just moved here in August from New York and I've yet to meet Dusty, so chances are we've not met. But I go up that way fairly often so I'm sure we'll run into each other soon. I'm impossible to miss - I have a tattoo of a prancing horse on my chest. :)

well as you may or may not know the SCS has been shut down by the landlord at El Camino so guys are scattering different directions for their Sunday fix. There are some new spots being bantered about. As soon as I find out which one the F car guys are leaning towards i will let you know. Could be a spot very close to where we have been.

Sold the car in August 09. Had 1360 miles on it. Yellow/Black, yellow calipers, daytonas, shields, ball polished wheels, stitching, and hi power hi-fi with subwoofer. Wanted to get out before market tanked for those thinking 458 Italia

First you need to have an image somewhere on your computer - either downloaded from the Web or otherwise manipulated via a photograph or other image that's already on your hard drive. The image must be no greater in size than 80 pixels by 80 pixels. The image must also be a jpeg (.jpeg, .JPEG, .jpg) - not a .bmp or .tiff or .psd, etc.

After your image is ready, scroll to the top of FerrariChat and click on User CP (see image below).

After you click on User CP, click on Edit Avatar located in the menu on the left side of the page (see image below).

Once you're on the 'edit avatar' page, click the 'Browse' button (see image below) to find the 80x80 jpeg on your hard drive. Once found, just double click it, click the 'Save Changes' button on the 'edit avatar' page and you're done!

A document I put together on batteries suitable for the Maranello and a bunch of other Ferraris. I have no personal experience with the Delco battery in my 575M, but added it anyway since I have always had good luck with Delco batteries.

Two new 575Ms for the list, both on E-Bay recently.

Ron Tonkin has an Argento and Nero early 2002, SN 127919 and Assembly No. 45191, listed under "Ferrari Other" so nobody could find it. Only reason I found it is because I was curious about how many Daytonas there were for sale and it has Daytona seats.

Ervin, one of our FChatters, had a very nice 2002 Argento with Cuoio Daytonas and black inserts car, with tasteful modifications of Novitec wheels and brakes, and custom suspension plus body-colored lower panels like the Superamerica. SN 129483 and Assembly No. 46604. Not on E-Bay now so not sure if it sold or not. Very reasonable price. Henry and I were trying to buy part of his mods, like sharks circling.

Just so this does not get lost.

I am still seeing and hearing from 575M owners who are wasting money on three year cam belt changes. In early 2002, at Assembly No. 43847, Ferrari changed to a new belt for the 575M, and that belt was carried over to both the 575 Superamerica and 612. Change interval for cam belts was extended to five years upon introduction of the new belts. The 575M, 575 SA, and 612 all have essentially the same engine except for ECU changes and, on the 612, manifolding changes. The blocks, pistons, rods, heads, valves, cams, and cam drives are identical. Here are the new belts showing applications.

    http://www.ricambiamerica.com/produc...ucts_id=209505

Note the same updated belt is also used as an improved part for the 456/M and 550, but Ferrari's recommended change interval for those cars remains at three years. For whatever reason, I have no idea. 456/M and 550 owners use your own judgement.

Ferrari wrote all the technical data for the 575M, including Owner's Manuals, Warranty books, and Workshop Manuals before the new belts were introduced and never changed the manuals except for issuing Technical Bulletins. As an example, the OM was written using Serial Number 125381, approximately Assembly No. 431XX, well before the new belts were introduced. I have 2002 and 2005 OMs, and there is virtually no change between the two except for some warnings on alcohol in fuel in the later version. Finally, for the 575 SA, they changed the manuals and show the five year belt change interval, as they did for the 612 introduced the same year (2005).

Here is the Technical Bulletin reiterating the change after the initial bulletin in October 2002. I have included both jpeg and pdf formats so you can print a copy for your technicians. This change affected all 575Ms, not just the US versions.

So, unless you have leakage from your valve covers or other visual inspection problems with the belts or drive component bearings, you do not need to change your 575M belts more often than once every five years. Over a ten year period, this should save you at least one belt change, if you go by the book on maintenence.

Mileage interval remains at 30,000 miles or 50,000 kms (31,068 miles), if you put that much mileage on in less than five years.

    Terry, yes, it's F1; also RHD (D).

Thank you, efe360. This car also has red stitching, yes? Until now, I thought this car was a manual.

I know FHP is unusual in a SA. But surely there will be some others more.
I love the combination : red / black leather and stitched in red.

EFE- Very pretty. Looks a lot like mine except for the roof. Mine is red with charcoal and red stitching and FHP.

Will have to get you to check and see which Shock Absorber ECU is fitted to your car some day. I am guessing 205619, but am not sure.

I assumed your car was LHD, since it is in Spain.

This is the 575M at Jake's Motor Cars in San Diego mentioned in an earlier thread. SN 128206 and Assembly No. 45383, which is way out of sequence with SN 128201. Typical when Euro, US, and RHD spec cars are compared by SN. Cars were apparently built in batches, with US, Euro, and RHD cars clumped by Assembly No., not SN.

Argento with nero interior with light stitching and very attractive Daytonas with light colored (sabbia?) inserts. Full records, three remotes and two keys. Aftermarket stereo with flat screen.

An extremely nice entry level 575M for a bargain price.

Ivo- Thanks. Will assume they are F1 until I hear further from Carbon or someone else.

The latest updates list now contains the newest information on the HGTC Shock Absorber ECU, 210578, which it turns out will fit on 575Ms built before Assembly No. 52556, but gives a permanent suspension warning light. Works fine, though.
