Just saw a 288 in Monaco today. God it sounded good. I love the burbling, crackling and popping sounds it made when coming off the gas. I looks so good too. I've seen a few 288s before but never in motion. Like most Ferraris it looks nice when parked...but 10X as nice when moving. %$W%@$!%^&!!! I'm in love.
They do take on a completely different persona and form on the move as I myself was reminded in Carmel this year!

The car does exist, but I find it hard to recall another GTO from recent (or long term) memory that has been offered around more than this car!
Evans apparently drives his 288 to work so here it is parked outside the BBC London. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Joey i didn t know if you have this document here attached? is the eratum made by Ferrari spa to FISA concerning the turbo compresor. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Ok guys, let me a couple of days to scan the pictures, and I will send a post on the subject. Photos will be "old" pics.
I do, it is January 1986, and I acquired all the FISA documents regarding the 288 GTO and they make for interesting reading.
So is that to mean that the car is 'less than desirable' or that its owners have a history of bad luck?
Merci Monsieur, it s always a pleasure to find documents like this one, always a pleasure to meet people who cares the same passion. Best
