Agree 100% If it's a WRX you want, then it's a WRX that you should get! The '02s would be pretty cheap now!
I think you are right but both accounts have been banned for a while now. The plot was more than murky, quite curdled in fact. Check out post #399 http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?p=134989568#post134989568 Distinguishing physical marks include a cavalino rampante on left leg just above ankle, about 8-9cm tall supposedly. Another melbourne shifty.
the worst thing about driving a ferrari is truck drivers. they try almost anything to swerve infront of u to spit rocks up and chip the paint. So u have to excelerate hard not to let them do so. usually there is a cop just ahead when u excelerate to 160 plus to over take.
I was 27 when i purchased MHH's SE and looked all of 25 i've become so accustom to abuse from jealous scum bags all i can do is laugh in their face as they cruise by in their fully sick hot rod. On the flip side i also meet some genuinely nice people who appreciate the car !
not me, most people love the 'Magnum' car, even the fullsik brigade was it the old cooters who were giving you the thumbs down for using the BB as a garbage truck ??
IMO most people see modern Ferrari drivers as wankers with red caps on. Never seen anyone look normal drive a 360/430 convertable thing.
The red cap/red shirt thing is a sad look, IMO. "Look at me. I'm an individual - just like the rest of my club mates." The "uniform" takes away from the cool look of the car. It makes the driver look like a tool who takes himself too seriously and thinks he's part of the racing team. This image is the worst thing about the brand. If I ever get a Ferrari, I promise not to wear any logos.
Tall poppy syndrome is a way of life here in oz though I found its the Victorians who carry the biggest chip on their shoulders and are the most aggressive about it. Im in a similar situation being in my late 20s and driving a new 'flashy' european car, though obviously not as nice as your Lambo. Within the last year I've found that in Sydney other people usually more passive with their 'misguided admiration' whilst driving, as usually while coasting past traffic at a leisurely pace other drivers in the parallel lane tend to look over then accelerate past for no apparent reason, and of course they also close gaps and try their best to cut you off, but thats expected i guess. What i didn't expect nor ever encounted before was the level of hate shown on Victorian roads, Both Speedy and myself were down for the Melb GP earlier this year and in a short space of 3 days, I had the courtesy of being loudly called 'wanker' from bystanders on street on two separate occasions. Had D*#kheads in a 'done up' commodore revving the crap out of their car at the traffic lights next to me, and other idiots in sh$tboxes trying their best to get me to race them. Though the cherry on the cake was having a truck driver deliberately try and run me off an empty highway (while i was in the left lane)on the way home to Syd, it happened about 15kms out of Melbourne at 2am. And then the truckie had the gall to give me a wanker hand signal when i decided i had enough of his stupidity and shot past him. My number plates are the low key black text on white so from far its not visible that its a NSW car, so i can only put it down to Victorians having a really bad case of tall poppy. Of course this is just my personal experience and i dont like to generalise but it happened all within the space of only a mere 3 days, and yet in over 14 months since i bought that car i have never been yelled at, been called wanker or seen such aggressive jealousy in Sydney. (and i do spend a bit of time out west near parramatta too) Anyways thats my 2 cents Bloody Mexicans!
