Great shots Vu. What we don't see, because there's room to properly stow them, are the two beach chairs, a large cooler with fine wine and good food, and finally, the luggage bags for the extended stay at that exquisite hotel shown in the last picture I just recounted that which I have done in my Mondial There is SO MUCH ROOM! Sure wish I would have had Vu there to snap a shot Cheers all, Hank
Hank, I can come overseas The Mondial does has a lot of space. That is one of the reasons why the current owner has it. He is quite tall but fits very well in the Mondial. I once sat on the backseat of this car while there were 2 people on the front seats At least you have plenty of sun in CA I think Cor (the owner) is going to tuck her to sleep since winter is coming Ciaooo Vu PS: found a pic with someone in the back of Cor's Mondial. I sat on the passenger seat. Image Unavailable, Please Login

Hank, Your interior looks like new!!!!!!!!! Very well maintained mate. I like the floor mat on Rachel's side Do you also have your name on yours? And also, did you removed the backseat? Cheers! Vu
Hi Vu, Actually, Rachel is the car's name. She was owned by supermodel, Rachel Hunter and her then husband, Rod Stewart. I have all records from new, with their names all over them The rear seats fold down to create even more cargo room !! And the mats are matching. Today is the French & Italian Car Show in Southern Calif, so I'll post a few more shots afterwards, Mondials, of course. Cheers, Hank
That's a pretty cool story, and a perfect name for the car. Do the rear seats fold down on all Mondials? I don't think I've seen any other pictures with them folded down like that. Those mats look great, btw, very well done.
Hi Ryan, As for the folding rear seats - all Mondial t Cabs have that feature. I'l check regarding how far back this feature goes - and I'll let you know. The mats were made for me, as were my seats, etc., by Fernando @ Prestige Auto Upholstery (818) 753-9606. They are perfectly stable on the floor and don't move around one bit. Any artwork can be added - - - and the prices are extremely good. Picture of Rachel at the French & Italian Car Show today, Nov 1st, in Van Nuys, CA (just for fun). She was the only Mondial there today........... Hope this helps, Cheers, Hank Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hey Hank, Thanks, I had no idea about the folding rear seats. I've been for rides in 3.2's several times and the owner has never mentioned the rear seats folding down, but I'll ask him next time I talk to him. Your car looks amazing inside and out. Also, I didn't notice this the first time, but your car is missing a pedal I don't know if you've talked it about it on here before, but how well does the Valeo transmission work? It's not everyday I get to talk with someone that owns one.
As far as I know (and someone correct me if I'm wrong), all Mondial Cabriolets have folding rear seats. All Mondial Coupes have fixed rear seats.
Hey Ryan, "Missing a pedal"? Nah, it was left off the build sheet intentionally - as in, "we don't need no stinkin' pedal" Nor did the Lancia Rally Race Team need the pedal, while it went on to win two world championships back to back with that Valeo "thing". Somewhere in this thread (that I, with pride ((rubs chest with knuckles)), started), I went on and on about the many, and I mean MANY, attributes of the amazing Valeo system. I'll just say this now: Enzo built one Valeo equipped F40 for Agnelli (pres. of Fiat) and a few Mondials, equipped with the same system for those that felt - "I'm game". Since most were fearful and probably thought the system was an automatic, or just too weird, very few Valeo Mondials ever made it to market. Those in fear missed a very interesting "boat ride" After five years with Rachel and her weird clutch, I'm thinking - I'm staying right here - on dis here boat In a single word: AMAZING !! It truly is the best of both worlds ! Cheers mate, Hank
