Wolverine Origins. What crap. It's the worst of French and Asian action movie cliches spoiling a good franchise. The story is non-existent and plot unbearable for anyone over 12, but the violence and language are too strong for kids.

    Batman the dark knight...

Couldn't stand the bloke who plays bruce barrymore (can't stand him in any of his movies). The joker was brilliant though.

Rise of the footsoldier for the 4th time. Such a good film. It has everything. Coke, guns, machetes and *****es.

    Tonight quantum of Solace:).

Just saw "Where the Wild Things Are" with the fiance. It was a great movie! We both walked away thinking what the hell happened to our childhood?

Last week I rented Woody Allen's "Whatever Works" starring Larry David. Larry David's character is more neurotic and over the top than his 'Curb' persona.

So funny I watched it twice on consecutive nights.

Scott and Ryan and Dave and Tom, I think you'd all enjoy it.

I just saw "Up" (the Disney flick --- not the Russ Meyer film with the same name) on the plane.

The first 20 minutes are excellent. When the house floats away.. it goes to just Ok. A bit of a stretch for me. It seems like they were trying too hard. But, as usual, I like the Pixar End credits. They do squeeze every second of the film into entertainment.

Bigger, Faster, Stronger - documentary on steroids. Even though I had heard it was well made, I was still impressed with the quality of the doc and the moderately even-handed and personal treatment of the subject. It doesn't make up your mind for you, but really shows both sides and is entertaining to boot.

I was left pretty skeptical of the physical side effects of the drugs, and you see how ludicrous some of the anti-steroid literature and propaganda is, but you can still see the psychological impact they left (not in terms of illness, but in terms of Adonis syndromes or users otherwise being really broken emotionally because they're not supermusclemen any more). Many of these people appear to already have esteem and body dysmorphic issues, steroids seems to merely be an outlet or elixir for those men.

    GI Joe.

Stupid piece of crap. It was PG-13 but why? Target demographic would be boys aged 9-16, why make a movie that half of them can't go to see?

    Both leading ladies uber-hot though...

"The Men Who Stare at Goats" - Based on truth doesn't make it a blockbuster. Get it on Netflix.
