Yup. well said. yup: not everyone can be a MS, and there needs to be a 2nd fiddle/side-saddle, they perform very well up to THEIR task, and that's it and what they are good. RB JB = about the same IMO... but I still like RB better. JB always struck me as a sort never proving up to his tout
Certainly at his age, RB is capable of some impressive performances regardless of how good his car is. Too bad he sold his soul to Satan and agreed to spend his prime as Schumi's wingman. Although financially it certainly was a safe bet and understandable in that light. I personally think (along with many others) that he never had anything more but now we will never know for sure.
I'm not bashing him. It is a historical fact that Massa is a journeyman. He has been "the other driver" when his teammates have won WDC's multiple times. Champions come and champions go but journeymen just keep fighting. It does not mean that they are without talent, without any desire to win or without any success. They just lack that "something" that makes champions. I wish Massa a quick and complete recovery and all the best for his racing career. But realistically, he'll never be a WDC. And I'm not the only one thinking along those lines. After all, that is exactly why Kimi has been looking so mediocre at Ferrari.
#1HE WILL be a WDC one of these seasons( i dont wanna hear this "he wont if Alonso comes" BS).#2,by your second sentence it looks like your saying that the team suck,,,elaborate for me please......
I think that many simply believe that Kimi is sucking at Ferrari because he can't even trounce Massa. And I freely admit that I've occasionally stood at that camp. Presently I think it is a bit more complicated than that. 1) Massa may be better than he looked as Schumi's fluff boy ("contracted to lose"). 2) The team overall has lost its edge in car development and is very much stuck with an old school car that is better suited to Massa's style. 3) Of course it is not totally inconceivable that Kimi has lost some of his speed as he's gotten older. But yes, the team does suck IMO.
But the question is when. The coming weekend is Ferrari's best chance this season. Kimi practically owns that track. And if the car is ANY good, he'll have a chance.
true.and if not on pole the a KERS-assisted start should tickle his fancy.Kimi is pretty hard to overtake, but with the whole Lewis fiasco last year at Spa,it contradicts what i just said.It happens to the best of us(Lewis included, and i must say,it's been very few times where ive been passed and when it happens,it FEELS LIKE ****).if he can be in front somehow,we can fight for a win.God,please for the love of the Scuderia let this fool Luca score some points before Michael returns for Monza.PLEASE!!!
BWAHAHAHAHA! Yeah, RB sucks and waxes Buttons arse yet again. Nice work RB, you are the shizz! : I freaking love it!! Go Rubens! MB
Don't hold back Matt tell us how you really feel.. Meanwhile rearrange this into a well known phase or saying. show till aint fat sings the lady over the PS he is doing well I concede.
+1 I never thought that possible, but he is now the biggest contender for the title. And I'm quite happy for it: I don't mind loosing my beer bet: This is probably Rubens' last chance for the title whereas Vettel will have many years to come to get it.
Yup. Vettel will blow atleast 1 more engine this season (probably tomorrow or in monza), and he'll get atleast 1 10 gridplace penalty. His title hopes are almost over unless Red bull have some luck with colder weather. The red bull seems to not be performing in the last 2 races, no idea why. The only one who has been performing is Rubens.
Brawn reversed some of its car development changes from the past races as they led them in the wrong direction. That basically means that they lost a couple months of development time. Now the car is a lot less smooth to drive and handles somewhat quirky. Rubens can deal with it, Button cannot. Button's style was always very smooth (Prost comes to mind) and now this works against him. I read an interesting article about the financial situation at Brawn. They are squeezing any penny out of the rocks. Their car development is almost non existant at this point. As long as Red Bull can't catch them, this is no problem, so the chances for Rubens to actually clinch it are more real than they ever were at Ferrari. Button's lead looks convincing, but I always said a DNF and it all looks different. Not scoring any points is the equivalent of a DNF.
Problem with those were that they didn't help in cool weather to get the tires up to speed. I read about the 'reversed development' before Valencia and expected them to do well there. Was halfway true.
Hi Matt, I was just wondering what kind of beer you will be sending to Andreas???? Sorry, but I had to do it, after all the gloating you (understandably) did every time RB did well
Hehe. It was however a close battle fought to the end. One Renault engine blow up more and I would have lost, so I won't be gloating, but thankfully enjoy my new case of Stella Artois. I'm still looking for a Massadorer who takes me up on the bet that Alonso will outscore Massa next year. So far I have found no takers despite ardent supporters of Massa and lots of Alonso haters on this board.
you forgot about me! i told you i would take the bet for the sake of it (even though you know how i feel about Mazzuh since i don't drink alcohol and i'm a movie buff, if you win i'll send you a movie of your choice (blu ray included), if i win you send me one of your race helmets jk, i'll take a movie. seriously...it will be fun..what else are we going to do? consider this a binding wager
no no no, i don't do porno's deal then. btw, you should prob decide now what you want..prob won't be a nail biter;_0
