    I knew it!

I always thought, if it works like they intended it, it would be awesome. It is just an excellent idea, and didn't fully understand why it wasn't more popular at the time.

After researching it a little, I read all types of negative comments about it. Among other things, I heard how people thought it would be impossible to fix if anything ever happened to it. All this from people who didn't own the car, and probably had never even driven one, but now I've talked to you, and you've confirmed it. It's "amazing":)

I didn't know about the Agnelli F40 Valeo....he sure had it good when it comes to custom Ferraris. Very cool.

    Thanks again,

    Ryan

    Hey,

You know how there is this ongoing thing about "F1 vs Stick", regarding the many new models being released by Maranello. But, in the twilight zone of power to wheels, is "ta da, VALEO !!!:) As regards Agnelli's F40, you know the Valeo had to work properly at the times - or those two Italians would have killed each other !!

Do your homework - you'll smile many smiles. If you like the Valeo Mondi t concept, hmmmmmm:) It could be - - - - - down the road.

    Have a great week,

    Hank

After three years of near trouble free ownership, I've decided to keep my car and have a "major" service performed. The kids still fit in the back seats, so my dream of a 360 will have to wait a bit longer.

Here is the car on the flat bed headed to Tim Stanford's garage in Ft. Lauderdale.

    Hi Max4HD,

She looks beautiful even while sitting on the flat bed ! BTW, do I see a return to factory black around her bottom? :)

    Cheers,

    Hank

Great location for a beautiful car's photo shoot.

My location for Rachel's recent pic was not quite so pretty :)

    THANKS HANK,

    Took the scenic coastal route.

on the way back, I had a problem at downtown San Francisco, the shift lever came loose,
I had to jack the car, re-connect and tighten the shift lever.

a second problem at Santa Barbara - car wouldn't start - minor electrical problem - got it going

    Overall though- AWESOME GREAT DRIVE!!!!!!

    Hey folks,

Here's a very informative write up of what the Valeo equipped Mondial t (and one F40) is all about, including a bit of interesting racing history. My Rachel, is a Valeo car, and as such, I very carefully, read all the words in the article to see where the author was coming from. - - My feelings are simply, he's "Spot On".

    Check it out - - http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=4519537

    Cheers, Hank

    Hey effer,

If I didn't keep it, I have no idea what I'd replace her with. Rachel truly is "the best of both worlds" and a joy to drive - - got stuck on the Hollywood Freeway the other day. It was stop and go ... stop and go ... and with Valeo, it was no biggy. (OK - I do want a 458) :)

After five years with this much misunderstood system, I'm more certain than ever that what drove me to get this car, was "spirit induced". It was a decision that I will never regret.

    OK, enough :)

    Cheers, Hank

    Hi Hank,
Thanks for the link. I thoroughly enjoyed reading the article and hadn't realised how unique the Mondial Valeo was. I knew that Porsche and others had similar designs but I didn't understand the differences. Interesting that Ferrari says no problem reving to 6K and burning out. I don't think I'll try it though.

No worries Dave - - that 6K burnout is a "Valeo thing", (laughing to self). I've had Rachel for over 5 years............ain't tried that one yet:):):), OK, call me a wuuss ............ I never forgot how, back in my high school days, I blew the rear end out of my hot rod 48 Ford with that high RPM, clutch dump trick:)

Love to Tee, Gi & you, (I want more music, Gi!!!)

    Hank
