Hey guys, does anyone else have issues with their TPMS? I have had my car (612 OTO) for a few months and my TPMS alarm sounds every few minutes claiming to have insufficient pressure. After checking the tires, there are no issues...several resets later it still sounds every 10 min while driving. I have pumped the tires up and down...with no effect. I took it to my dealer and once he placed the car on the computer, everything read out as normal. Yet I was still getting the same alarm every so often.

    Any ideas? Remedies?

    HELP!!!!

When you say reset, did you re-calibrate the TPMS but holding down the button for 10 seconds?

CM1, yes, thats what I meant. Recalibrate, hold the button down until it re-starts the calibration process, which in approx 10min gives another failure buzzer or low pressure.....over and over.

tell ur dealer to fix the issue.
If mine are low, they just have a message saying "check tire pressure" on start up and thats it. No sounds or anything later.
But its only low by 1kpa.

That system is very problematic. Without hooking it up to an SD3 and looking at the parameters, it's impossible to know the cause. They can take quite a bit of driving and several re-calibrations to get working again, so initially i'd try the reset procedure a few times before condeming the system. It could be a transmitter fault or it needs re-coding or even the receiver thats playing up. I have come across transmitter issues that randomly appear on even late cars.

Its such a dissapointment! I really hate the fact that it keeps buzzing.

MJ, Rusty- Perhaps a dead battery in one of the TPMS sensors? An SD3 can give you a read-out of months battery life remaining for each of the sensors. Sensor cost has gone down considerably in the last five or so years, especially if they are purchased on the open market.

I had this a while back on my '06 612, faulty sensors in the wheels, soon as the sensors replaced - back to normal!!! Always read low pressures, then seconds later - 2.4bar!!

Good luck! TPMS is one option that I always reluctantly decide to get and then face hassle with afterwards. My Scuderia was 100% perfect except for TPMS problems.

Interestingly I recently bought a 575 HGTC and to my amazement the TPMS works better than any of the newer cars that I have had over the last few years

I just ordered them from Tire Rack when I ordered tires. They work fine.
