What? This is the first I have heard of this. Is this really going to happen?
I'd like to have a Lamborghini dealership here as well but Lambo told me that the demographics of San Antonio are better than Austin. WTF?

I met one of the people from the new Austin shop at the Bee Cave Galleria car show weekend before last. He said the opening was imminent. Should be a matter of days.

I was also surprised in that he told me they were going to have a service department. I was under the impression that it was only going to be sales but looks like I was misinformed.

I heard from several sources that they were going to contract with another local shop to do the service. They only had one service bay at the Lamar location and I'm not sure if it's still there after the remodeled.

I thought were were all talking about it at the last event and that's when you told us about wanting a Lambo dealership. They've been remodeling the old Lotus dealership for months.

I thought so as well but I asked the guy and he told me they'd have their own service department.

That said, your information is always better than mine, Mike. I hope that I'm right but I'd put my money on you if I had to bet!

I drove by the place about a month ago and the Ferrari sign was already up. It looked like they were maybe still doing the build out on the inside and painting. It must be almost finished though. I will try and drive by in the next couple days. It's a little out of my way.

ok, thanks Mike, that's what I was gathering but wasn't sure. Cool... I'll have to cruise over there when I get my car back on the road.

I've driven by the place countless times as they've been working on converting it to a Ferrari dealer. It doesn't look as tho the opening is "imminent" but it is nicely coming along. From what I can tell just by driving by it doesn't look like the one service bay is going to be accomodating any cars for service.

I think that the gentleman I met was on of the principals. Very nice, older Italian guy. According to him, it's just days away. We'll see, I guess. I think I took a card from him so maybe I can email him for an exact date.
