Stay away from this phone. My first phone's End button got stuck on the second day of ownership. Could not end a call!

So I went in and got it replaced. Now after 6 days of ownership on my second one...the power is completely dead and the phone won't turn on. This happened on a full battery. I tried plugging it in...nothing.

Verizon recommended it because it got "great reviews." My review is that it sucks and I'm going back to pickup something different and demand some in store credit for the hassle. (Being at Verizon 3 times in 3 weeks is not what I want to be doing after I get home from work)

Any suggestions on a replacement? I prefer Windows Mobile 6.1 phones...seem to be the best for connecting to my work email.

The Droid comes out tomorrow, but it's not WinMo and being brand new I'm sure you don't want to take that chance.

Other than that I'm not really sure what to recommend other than a Blackberry, as I doubt you'd want another HTC.

What about the Samsung Omnia (although 2 is due out soon I believe)?

Sorry for your problems and sorry for not being able to really help. Unfortunately you learned the hard way. Never listen to store reps, do you're own research and figure out which phone is best for you.

Looking for a real keyboard or an on-screen keyboard?

Thanks for your replies. I prefer a real keyboard...fat fingers.

I did some searching around howard forums and I couldn't find anyone with your problems. Normally there is a thread for problem stricken phones, and the Ozone doesn't have one.

All the reviews I skimmed through were all positive, just one having the keyboard backlight go out after 6 months. Are you sure they gave you a brand new phone each time and not a referb?

Interesting. I have an HTC phone with verizon and my friend had an HTC phone with t-mobile. We both hate our phones and im on my second xv6900 in one year after the first one freaked out. I don't think I will ever buy another phone from this company again.... let me rephrase that: I will never buy another phone from HTC ever!

I'll second that about HTC. Had one a couple years ago and got rid of it within the 30 day time frame for a Samsung. Had two of the HTC Imagio's both went back to Verizon and replaced with LG's last month. Major problems with Imagio and when the Verizon tech person says "well some HTC's really do work" and also tells you your best bet it to "get rid of them" .....say no more. If we had better coverage with AT&T where we live (I much prefer our iPhones over anything else), Verizon would be less one customer.

HTC is big on features, but completely lacking in interface/integration and quality. They are the Microsoft of the mobile world.
