Thats great news for him and Ferrari. i am so looking forward to the grudge battle between Alonso and Lewis...classic I wish the BBC would have an F1 catch up program over the winter. Its a killer having nothing F1 to watch.
Hopefully he'll participate in the development of Ferrari road cars the way Schumacher did. Would be awesome to see his name on the replacement of e.g. the 599.
I would like to see him serve his time and show he has the ferrari blood running through his veins first. The Schumacher name on a Ferrari will always be without question. Imagine if we had a ferrari named after Kimi, i for one would think that would be a mistake because lets face it he dont give a stuff about Ferrari. I would still be of the same opinion if he wins a WC in the Ferrari next year. That said Ferrari branding is done so flippantly these days, it would not surprise me.
I'd think that is cool, because I think Kimi is very cool. That said, I wasn't looking for a Ferrari named after Alonso (or Kimi or MS), but one where the driver had input in its making. Given Alonso's talent for developing a car, I wouldn't be surprised if he'd help testing some road car.
Italian and Spanish are so close I'm sure he knows how to speak it, and if not most of the people at ferrari can speak spanish
I'm pretty sure I've read that Fernando is fluent in three or four (maybe more) languages, including Italian. edit: Quoted from his Wikipedia entry - "As well as Spanish, he speaks Italian, French and English." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fernando_Alonso
