I actually felt that the reverse was true after taking a trip down to ES previously. Perhaps mechanically speaking, Lambos might be more reliable, but from a purely cosmetic point of view, I thought that Lambo interiors were not as nice as Ferrari interiors. One major gripe I have with Lambos is that they don't have electronically adjustable seats. Normally this is not a problem, but their default setting is so low that I can't see out of the car at all (Selina's solution was to provide me with a bolster ). I did not spend a large amount of time in the cars, so I can't really give any specifics, but I just felt that both the 560 and the 640 seemed to have less carbon fibre in the interior. Plus the lcd screen in the centre looked a bit tacky. No offense to all who've got lambos here, I think they look fantastic from the outside and the V12 doors are amazing, but I think Ferrari has better interiors.
I agree with you on the carbon fibre aspect. Lambo interiors do look quite ordinary for the amount of money you are paying. But there's no doubt that their build quality has improved tremendously. In the past, their air-con vents don't even work!
I agree Ferraris just seem to have a better overall finish. F-cars have a flair for the dramatic, whereas Lambos are more utilitarian/spartan (they do after all, trace their heritage back to farm vehicles...). Mine has electrically adjustable seats though... heated too! Yeah, I have no idea why... A lot of interior parts come straight from Audi/VW.. The central LCD comes from a very low end Audi! My Audi has a nicer interior than the Lambo, which is... Maybe it's all the weight-saving they have to do... P.S. Was it a Lamborghini branded bolster?
I've no idea I didn't take her up on that offer haha! Perhaps it's just the showroom cars that do not have electronically adjustable seats.
Well... the aircon filter underneath the storage compartment of the 599 randomly fell out a few days after we took delivery of the car. So much for build quality
I have a 430 spider now, before that i had a murcie. Thinking of selling it and buying either a used 599 or gallardo spider. Which is a better choice?
In my very biased opinion, a 599. That being said, this is an apples vs oranges comparison. Although I haven't driven a 430 or a Murcie, I'm pretty sure they feel alot more like hardcore sports cars than the 599. Think of the 599 as a faster, more comfortable, better looking and infinitely more exiciting SL.
I haven't driven a 575 before so I can't offer any basis for comparison. What exactly are you looking for in a car though?
prefer cars that drive like the 430. cars that are nice to my eye with a good sound. had 2 430 spiders already so time to let it go. This car i am looking at is for next 1yr use as i am have ordered a 458
i will lose at least 200k just driving the 560 for 1 yr+ thought of a use lp but with the SV available now that means new model coming soon. There is alot of LP and when the new model arrives, there will be blood everywhere. So far, when i sell my ferrari, i dont lose much i usually buy them new and near the launch date My first 430 spider, i used for 1.5 yrs and lost only 8%
Nice pics! Happy to see the bros finally getting it on instead of all the stroking and fondling online.
The car is here already Jon? Its a stunning looking car with little performance enhancement... would love to buy it second hand though and let the first owner eat the depreciation....
