They are some available either in USA or in Europe...why don't you join us...Jarama family is bigger than I thought at first when started the Registry... Olivier www.jaramaregistry.com
just try to put my today video on Youtube, but it f... up and I've losted it, wrong application, here is all I've saved... and yes it was a sunny day ! Image Unavailable, Please Login
You caught me! I give up. I think I'd buy a Jarama before I'd buy an Espada. And I came to that conclusion today, the moment I saw that rear photo of the car. Something caught my eye that really sets it apart from the other early lambos. But I'll keep what caught me to myself
Peter, The Jarama is a scarce car. The Espada is available for sale. With both models, no stories cars are difficult to find. From a factory sales viewpoint, the Espada was much more successful.
Buy mine prior to it going to Scottsdale in Januray for Auction $53k And it is yours!! http://www.catsexotics.com/web/1317/vehicle/422396/1973-Lamborghini-Jarama-GTS
Scarce...Yes, with 177 GT produced and 150 GTS, it's still less than Miura, Countach or Espada... over 327 produced, I've only identified +/- 150 survivors... Olivier www.jaramaregistry.com Image Unavailable, Please Login
the black dual sunroof ? NO, it didn't... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=370270290826&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT you want to make an offr ? try about 20.000 US$ should be ok fo the owner !
correct The person who buys the car, should want the world's best restored Jarama, and does not mind being financially upside down.
I've not contacted owner, but from my experience and managing the Registry, that leads me to conclude that estimation...it's only $20.000 = 13.300 ...+ 16.000 new engine + 8.000 new interior + 20.000 bodywork & paintjob + 5.000 brakes & bushing => 62.333 for a very nice dual sunroof, one of only 20 produced, that's not too much for what it worthes ! As I already said, I cannot afford to buy all interesting Lambo, but this one should have been one of them !
Personally I like the Jarama and the sunroofs are interesting features but it could be a very long time before it's worth that much.
65,000+ euros and you will take a big financial hit. In the U.S., you can find a nice Jarama for the mid 30's+/-.
I totally disagree with your opinion, probably market values are different between USA & Europe, as well as model recognition or scarce model. I know very well 2 transactions done this year in Europe, as I was directly involved with history report and also with expertise, both were sold in between 55.000 to 65.000 . These 2 GTS are also different, one was fully restored the other one was 3 owners in perfect original shape. So, I'm confirming my previous post, it is not a financial hit to invest in one of the only 20 Jarama GT dual sunroof produce !
There are always exceptions to the rule. All it takes are two guys at an auction with poor self-control, it is demonstrated frequently at Barrett-Jackson. A car with special provenance may command a premium price. Typically cars that are neglected or that have "stories" do not. The sunroofs are interesting but not well documented from what I've seen (conflicting reports of how many were made and on which cars). It is worth perhaps an extra few thousand $. If this car was so special I would have expected more interest by now.
No doubt, values are very different in the US and Europe as i've been finding out with Countach prices. Lamborghinis are just not as valuable as they should be here in the states. I don't think any financially smart person would spend US20k on that black sunroof Jarama. It's a car with alot of unknowns and not even running. Unless their love for the model is what it's all about and money is no object. I would buy today but not at 20k US. 10 or 12 at the most. If it was running, possibly more.
There is no more conflict about the production figures for any Jarama, including sun roof... it's not yet updated on the Registry website, but I've already provided the sun roof VIN numbers in another post here.
Well, if mine does not sell in the next few days...I am committing it to Russo and Steel for Auction at Scottsdale in January... So IF you want it, now is the time to wheel and deal with me!! http://www.catsexotics.com/web/1317/vehicle/422396/1973-Lamborghini-Jarama-GTS
