Thank you my friends, that's what I was assuming, we all know about #6201 but none of us knows about Joe's VIN sold recently ????? due to privacy of seller and new owner and blablabla... what about the other one from Gooding & Co auction ? Which VIN ?

On Joe's website it says it was indeed #6201 that he sold:
    http://www.joesackey.com/Sold/

We had an exchange of emails early in the year - I had recently purchased the Roger Moore car and was interested in comparative values, so I asked him how much #6201 had achieved and he replied that he'd sold it for $250k.

it was back on 9th june this year, as Joe's answer spoke about #6288.

So if he has sold in the meantime #6201, that's new for me and I can understand why it made 250.000 US$...

No, he sold #6201 back in January 2009! And I should have said, the figure was described to me as "approximately $250,000", and not "exactly" $250,000. So Joe did not really reveal the price.... ;-)

Come to Pocono in June for the Lamborghini Owners National Meet, I'll probably be putting #6243 on track for some touring laps.

Nice ride indeed...I'm just trying to imagine what it will be next year at Le Mans...in class 6 among Porsche 917, F 512 and GT40...I will be lost with a bench of Corvette...

I have followed this site for years and this is my first reply. I love these cars and feel that I have saved a few from the parts bin. I have owned all, of what I consider to be the "Big Three." I have been very blessed to experience them through the years. I thought you might enjoy these. Steve.

    Hi Steve,
    Welcome to the Islero thread!
Nice Islero GT, looks a lot like #6267 before the respray to blue.
But then it has to be an older picture..
Or is it another missing in action car perhaps?

    Best regards,
    Marcel

    Thanks for your compliment ken!
Oliver I am not sure about the paint code. I do plan to paint the Islero, and want it as it was new. I am depending on Lou to help me with that, if he doesn,t mind. To answer your question HF, I had a Merak, and a nice Khamsin. I also had a Urraco 250 which I believe had a 300 body because of the headlight placement. I believe I had a rare car but never pursued finding out. "Oh Well". I had it for 15 years. I actually had some hair then.(Ha!)

    Thanks,

fantastic looking urraco! hard to tell if its a P300 body because i cant see the rear window.

i think the headlights are located in the same place. only the early pre-production prototypes had high mounted headlamps. the only pre-prototype on know of in private hands is the yellow car that became the "urraco bob rallye" which is now in japan

anyhow it looks to have a really late rubber bumper that differs from the usa spec P111. most likey a P250 converted to run in the usa?

any preference between the urraco and the merak?

    thank you for posting

    Thanks HF,

I prefer the Urraco over the Merak. I had the Citroen hydraulics on mine and they are a pain. An SS car would have been much better. To answer an earlier question, I believe Lou said the Islero could have been Silver. I would love to find the "build sheet" if that is possible at all. Thanks, Steve.

    Hi Guys,

I have sadly listed my Espada for sale. I also have a very good 308 QV listed for sale. I need to put my efforts into the Islero. I do need to sell the 308, but "do not want to sell the Espada." Does anyone know of someone looking for a Quattrovalve. I just had the major service performed and it is ready to be enjoyed for years! (They are on e-bay.) It is a very good price. Thanks for your help. Steve.

Islero #6243 is now home from the body shop. I plan to rebuild the suspension over the winter and work on a few minor detail items. (Still trying to locate a set of vents for the center console.)

Here are a few photos along with some of its stablemates. Ghibli SS #2110, Mistral #1216, Mondial Cab #49713
