Joe, Congratulations on the GTO reunion. You beat my record of 12 cars in one place as an organiser, but it did take you 24 years to do it!!! Well done. On page 180 it is mentioned that my old car 53319 was sold out of a Dutch collection. I don't think that's true, I believe it is still there and the owners don't want to sell. I know, I tried.......
Yes it did take 24 years! What was satisfying is that it was 50% of all the GTOs in America all in one place.
It was probably discussed at some point in the last 150 or so pages, but are the driving lights as effective as headlights? Is there any reason for the pop-up headlights other than to conform to headlight height regulations? Or are the driving lights just a pair of long range and a pair of fog lights?
Hi Joe, I hesitated to post this pic on your thread or on "let's see pretty girls with Ferrari", but finally chose yours. I am sure that you know the girl -mistake sorry- the car, licenced 797 UAD. It was presented in Maranello during the 60 th anniversary (great great event). Image Unavailable, Please Login
Two very exquisite rear ends. Would love to see the pretty face on this lean, long-haired beauty. Any more pics? Cheers- Colin Firth-Ontario Canada

What a special event that was! With also a well known 288 Evoluzione present. Only 8 years or so until... Gr. Martin
Dennis the driving lamps serve either as flashers (as in: "move over, I am about to overtake you!") or as fog lamps. They are too intense to serve as headlamps and I find the headlamps adequate for night driving, with emphasis on the word adequate... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Also I think you already touched on the reason the driving lamps would not qualify as headlamps according to Transportation department regulations worldwide: they are not at the right height.
I took these pictures of another GTO present at the event....;-) Ciao! Marcel Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
