At that price, it's definitely worth to buy.. The CS package adds a roll cage and fire extinguisher right? Any other stuff?
Forced Induction car vs High Compression NA...the latter is the screamer for sure Harold beat me to it in that cargraphic exos..darn..
Had a Panamera behind me just now, looks surprisingly good in the rear-view mirror! Actually looks like a Corvette... Unfortunately it looks ... questionable from pretty much every other angle.
that is all u need.. In GT3 CS ( two only here ), it has got fire proof clothed seats. Same as in the standard RS Not sure bout the GT2....
That sentence is seriously suggestive and just had me spit my coffee out mate! And you are worried wearing speedos around me??? ;P
Sheesh, those monsters are stalking the streets already?? Still a pointless excercise- ugly with only four seats.... at least give us 5 seats if we gotta drive something that hideous.
I think quite a few are on the roads already..I know of one Turbo running around..but it really fails in the looks department and I agree with you on the no. of seats since it's supposed to be a family car..
Boys o Boys, u must drive the damn thing before making decisions & best to have at least a week with it. Which makes me think that companies like Luxe car makes sense though they charge you S$3K+ per day or that's what good buddies are for Now, the GT2 came from the 964 3.6Turbo. Back in those days, the turbo lag is so huge & late that you'd be scared ****! You'll do fine straight & flat out but it's the corners that catches people off. I don't know when does the turbo kick in, I suppose @ 2.5K rpm? & higher for older models. Imagine if you're doing the classic slow-in fast out but when u're not careful & hit the gas a split sec too early, you're sending hundreds of horses down the rears which can snap. Too slow & you'll understeer? Need to keep the revs just @ the right rpms to stabilise the power. So, practise.... Was told some guys do left foot braking down corners to hold the revs/turbo in place @ 100mph!
I wish we had car clubs like they do in the UK and Aus, but given the cost of cars + insurance here, that's probably never going to happen
These days the Twin Turboed cars deliver quite linear power like high comp NA engines. By that , it means no turbo lag. The kick is still there but alot more predictable when it comes in compared to single large turbo like found in those JDM monsters. Now speaking of LF-Braking down corners...yes it is a technique but at the speed of 100mph ard fast sweeping bend, it is not exactly to hold the revs for the turbos but to gain front traction of the car. U know when u brake, there is a weight transfer and the front dips and bites on the road surface and u control it wif steering inputs to get the most out of it. Always easier to do on semi auto cars as there are only two pedals..I find it hard to do on manual cars. Depending on the track we visit..for Sepang which most of us do in our road cars, there is virtually no corners which takes us to 100mph and requires LFB. Eg. T3 is a flat out corner and you can do 100mph....T5/6 you can do light tap braking, LFB can be applied but it's a corner of max 135kmh for fast road cars.
Exactly, cos when u lift off & revs drop, traction shifts then when u hit the gas & turbos kick in..... I can never do left foot brake! Yeah boy, u know i tested the Balboni on track. It kept playing back in my mind when I had the nose down in mid corner and felt the weight transfer to it's tail but dialed out without drama. Stupid me, I braked too late & hard so the instructor wasn't pleased though
