I have a friend trying to take some pics in this location. Anyone know where and how to get there? TIA Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
follow the LA river near downtown LA Its one of the bridges. A most often used bridge for location shoots similar to your pix is the 6th street bridge above Santa Fe Avenue. Movies such as Transformers, SWAT, Fast & the Furious etc.
That is not a photo. It is an artist's rendering of the planned remodel of El Camino shopping center in Woodland Hills. (home of VCR).
Ronnie, where've you been? I thought you might have relocated to Dallas after watching the opening game in the new stadium!
Jon, i believe this is the LA River bed between the two bridges on fourth and sixth street, LA. The photos have been photoshopped but if you go to google earth and type in 1280 E. 4th Street, LA you can bring up photo images that show both bridges...
Although not everyone follows this advice, I have been told by a veteran automotive photographer that if you are planning on doing a photoshoot in that area, do 2 things: 1. Get a permit from LA City 2. Ensure personal security (apply discretion here)
Have you heard of Walker's Law Of displacement: everyone has to be somewhere. I was at the game and the stadium has to be seen in person to be belived. It is really something. And oh...by the way..........."how bout them Cowboys!"
We formerly owned the plant at 1600 East 6th st (roughly 6th and Mission Road) and the 7th street bridge ran over the rear of our property and was used 100's of times as a film location. The area for a photo is open partially and relatively safe during the daylight M-F. There is no public entrance to the nearby riverbed, you must arrange it with the LA Film permit office and a few other parties. Permission to enter the riverbed is not easily obtained. It might make a nice location for photos but I would suggest unless it is a high budget shoot just Photoshop it in.
this is the EXACT location of the first pic. i done a shoot there too: E 6th St. & Mesquit St. Los Angeles, CA 90021 enjoy!
Closest substitute for the bridges in the back is under 1st street, no permit, loads of homeless, and sometimes the trains are there, also, no riverbed access. Loads of BMW guys go down there.
A quick sound bite from the photo shoot. http://vimeo.com/7586033 Here's a rough sample shot from the shoot. Won't have the finished pictures for a couple more weeks. Image Unavailable, Please Login
