    I bought the Audi R8 three weeks ago. Cool car and fast as hell !!! I really love this car [ this week ].

    We're experiencing a nor- easter right now and the weather is crappy !!!!
    I go to the store, park it my drive for 5 minutes and the neighbors basketball court blows over and puts a fuc**n hole in my roof !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I already dropped off at the body shop to fix - the roof is aluminum and must be totaly replaced !!!!!!!!!!! WTF !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now I wonder what this is going to do for resale value ???????

    balls !!!!!! is all I have to say.....

    Sorry to see that. Huge hole !!

    Dont think it wil affect the resale value as it will probably be unnoticeable once Audi is done and i doubt it affected the chassis in any way.

    I believe it only comes up on carfax if insurance pays for it. Just pay out of pocket.

    That car doesn't EVEN look like it left the Paris show. The rain drop deck shot is amazing! Wait a minute. What happened to the guy I loved so much?

    Well, look at it this way.......had the car incurred water damage from rainwater pouring thru the hole they'd be trying "NOT" to write if off, and you'd be really pissed. Good thing it was only 5 minutes.

    The guys homeowner policy (as opposed to auto) will cover it, so more than likely, no Carfax or Carproof report will occur.

    Check to see if the body shop is a voluntary reporting member of Carfax as well.....some are, some are not.

    Wow that blows, that's why in a storm I always put my basketball hoop down to protect it from damaging anything or breaking my windows. :(

    I wouldn't be too concerned about the carfax if you have documentation, and it just has an insurance claim and not an accident report on it.

    That had to be some kind of record. I have never heard of a goal falling on a new car and putting a hole in the roof. Nice car.
