Unless you're wedded to having the Ferrari emblem or script (usually a copyright violation when people place them onto the mats), we have some great fitting Lloyd mats at a nice price: http://www.ricambiamerica.com/product_info.php?cPath=100000&products_id=263869
I was going to buy them at Ricambi but then I found out they have no emblems on it. I ended up getting them thru European Floor Mats from LA, California. You get to choose between many different setups, also nib backing, I honestly have to say that I was very satisfied. www.europeanfloormats.net
After I got my car I removed the floor mats that had emblems and got some plain ones. I also removed the little plastic caps on the valve stems of the tires that had prancing horses (put on plain metal ones). I know what I'm driving and don't feel the need to reinforce it everywhere. Don't even ask me what I think of Ferrari stickers put on fire extinguishers I got my plain mats from Italian Car Parts. I would have purchased from Ricambi but they did not have the color I happened to be looking for (Burgundy).
Lloyd mats also makes a line called "Ultimats" or something like that. They are very thick plush mat, fit correctly and have the hold downs like the factory mats. They retail for around $140 or $150 plus shipping. Daniel can probably get those too. The ones Daniel carries have a shorter nap, that more closely resembles the factory mat....whatever you prefer.
For the record, here are the mats from Ricambi in tan. They fit perfectly (including the factory clips) and match very well. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Is it fair to assume that companies like 'European Floor Mats' are producing these floor mats with a licensing agreement from Ferrari? I'm working on a product that I hope to market (can't disclose just yet....) that would require a trademark use agreement from Ferrari; any idea how to best do this? Sorry to hi-jack the thread.....my bad.
I am unaware of any supplier with license to produce embroidered mats displaying a Ferrari trademark -- but you really should direct that question to each respective company. I think Ferrari might easily grant the trademark for use on things like coffee cups and baseball hats -- but getting usage rights for *anything* that goes in their vehicle will be FAR more difficult, if not downright impossible. It is handled through SpA, not FNA.
The European supplier for "European Floor Mats" is now out of business. I spoke to Rick the owner and it doesn't look good. Too bad, I have their mats with the SF Shield. With respect to your query - hire a very good Intellectual Property Attorney (we don't come cheap) that can negotiate a licensing agreement with FNA or Ferrari, Spa.
FYI for anyone interested. I just spoke with Rick from European Car Mats and he is back-up and running. He is the only source for mats with the SF shield logo, other than Keith Collins at $750.00-plus per set. I have them in my car and have been very pleased. I am trying to convenience him to go back to offering the cut-outs for the OEM hold downs. I have no interesting in this company.
