430 colors

I don't think it would make any difference. If there are fewer buyers for any color, there are also fewer cars other than red/tan available. The market self balances.

Age, condition, documentation, history, options and mileage are far greater influences to any variation in price from one to another.

 

Have you forgotten about the yellow 430 with the blue interior? Maybe you are trying to put that one out of your mind...
Mirabeau with a red interior was not too popular either. Both of those combinations seemed to stop buyers faster than a salvage title. Any of the 'safe' color combinations don't really suffer financially at resale time. Years ago Ferrari sold cars in many colors. Now half the cars are red.

No, I haven't forgotten that car. The question is about black/tan and how that would be affected in resale.

There are many people who like black/tan. Perhaps more people want red but there also more red cars. So, the market balances naturally unless tastes change over time, which is unlikely with these two popular color combo choices.

If someone wants to create some kind of ugly color combo machine for themselves, there's probably just a potential market of only one for that... themselves.

 

Black/Tan is a great package and I don't think you'll take a price hit at all compared to a red/tan. You may eliminate some first time F car buyers from your market but if you like the blk//tan (very cool) I would get it!

While I don't think Black/Tan will affect the resale price of the car, it may take a little longer to sell than if it was Red/Tan.
