    I saw a thread on the general forum talking about the beauty of various Ferraris.

    What confused me is that I noticed several people ranking the CS above the regular 360. I know the CS is the high performance model with an upgraded engine, carbon brakes, stripped out interior, and different wheels, but are there any other differences ? Don't they have the same body ?

    I think they both look great and wondered why people put the CS above the 360 for anything but performance reasons ? Eventually I want a stick shift Ferrari, so I wouldn't even consider a CS, but was curious about it. Thanks.

    The subtle exterior differences make the CS more sinister, sexer and purposeful looking.

    Redesigned front splitter
    Redesigned rear tunnel diffuser
    Higher rear spoiler
    New front and rear bumpers
    New side sills
    Redesigned carbon fiber mirrors
    Challenge Style 19" wheels
    Carbon Ceramic Brake System

    I think the external differences are quite obvious but perhaps they're subtle to a more casual observer.

    Resculpted front bumper, lower side sills and a straked rear diffuser, carbon wing mirrors, 19" challenge style wheels, and standard challenge grills round out most of the exterior changes. The factory stripe also looks quite nice if so equipped.

    If you are just learning the subtle differences, don't get confused by the fact that the post just above this one, "360 for under 60K" shows a 360 Modena that has been altered by replacing the front bumper with a CS bumper.

    Most of all surely is the exclusivity of the CS. I don't know the numbers but suspect there was only one CS for every 1000 standard 360's and they ain't making any more of them!

    It's sounds like you would be better off with a 308/328 of course with a stick...

    I think some people put the CS above the Modena because of its low production numbers, obviously the somewhat subtly improved aggresive look, and that it embodies the "racing" heritage of Ferrari (light, low, fast, and gorgeous). It is not your "average" Ferrari (if there is such a thing as an average Ferrari).

    OMG, you should do an intensive research!!!
    The CS is not only exteriors upgrades and some carbon fibers items!
    The CS is the product of a group of engineers who put their full capacity on design a race car for the streets using the top edge of engineering in materials, aereodynamics, heat reduction and a lot of effort of trying to make better the already great Modena.

    In my Op the CS is a one of the greatest car ever made.
    I recomend you should read one of the best tread posted in this chat by Trev. He convert a regular 6 speed Modena into a CS. You will see steep by steep how this great guy discover the advantages of weight reduction, heat disipation, braking, aereodynamics, exhaust, ect.

    There were a number of tweaks to the engine including valve springs, piston crown design, throttle bodies, which resulted in a small increase in HP- maybe 16 on a good day with cold air.

    Then the titanium lug nuts, CS wheels, CC brakes, lighter front and rear bumpers, lighter rear decklid and external mirrors and some carbon fiber splashed on the interior and the engine bay.

    One significant modification was the muffler and exhaust system. That is one fairly easy upgrade which will improve the performance and of course sound of a regular 360.

    The CS exhaust has a different flow design and is more lightweight saving something like 24 pounds over stock! Compared to the cost of doing anything else, this is the biggest bang for your buck.

    Another F-Chatter, TREV, uses a fantastic non-Ferrari titanium exhaust system from Taiwan which saves even more weight!
