    Forgive me if I am asking a stupid question, but the other day I noticed that as soon as I turned the key to my car as all of the little icon lights lit up on the lower right side of the instrument cluster, one of them was a picuture of a seat with little waves coming up from the base of this seat. Were heated seats an option on the 430, I have a 2006 model, and even better yet, does my car have them? I figured it was worth asking here before I searched through the rather large owners manual. Thanks for any help!

    Yes they do come on 430s. The switch is in a bit of an odd location, sort of on the seat base towards the front; kind of a roller type job.

    Not sure whether the 06 has them though.

    I guess my 2nd grade teacher was right when she told our class "There is no such thing as a stupid question" becaus I just found out I have heated seats. Will definitely come in handy given the fact I live in downtown Chicago.

    Thanks for the response Solow. I will look for a knob on the seat as soon as I get home this afternoon. If anyone happens to know if the location is any different on a 2006 model, please let me know.

    I've got heated seats on my Gallardo Spider and I'll tell you, they definitely extend the top-down season.

    I don't believe heated seats was an option for US market, on the 430.

    I was told by my dealer that they were offered for 1-2 years, but the option was discontinued from 2007 on.

    They will definitely help extend my season. The weather here has been very stange though. On saturday I was out and about all day with the top down here. It was 65 degrees in the middle of Novemeber. We had multiple days in August that never got that warm.
    Nice combo BTW. Have yet to drive the Gallardo but have had some fun in a Murci. I am assuming the Gallardo has a relatively large blind spot with the top up as my 430 does

    I had a feeling someone was going to tell me that. I'll be home in a few hours to check and will update on here once I find out. It definitely has a light that is visible when you first start the car, thats all I know....

    Thanks... it is nice having both the F-car and the G-Car. Radically different, yet both are amazing.

    G-Car visibility is pretty poor with the top up. Thankfully, the car has a reverse camera which, once you understand what you're really looking at, is incredibly helpful.

    I have a camera on my Lexus also which is, as far as I am concerned, one of the best inventions modern cars have seen in a while but I can only use it when I am backing up, does the camera on your G-car work in all driving modes?

    The Gallardo's camera works if the car's radio/nav system is on and you engage reverse. If the radio/nav system is off, you don't get anything... a little frustrating, so turning on the radio, accepting the liability disclaimer/reminder and immediately lowering the volume is now reflex when getting in the car.

    While driving forward, I can push the "camera" button and see what's behind me in 10-15 second bursts, then the display reverts back to nav or radio etc.

    I wish my other cars had a camera in the back too... very helpful.

    After a thorough examination of my driver and passanger seat there is definitely not a knob located there to control a heated seat function. I guess its not enough that the European models have launch control, they get warm bottoms also. No heated seats for me.

    US models definitely can have heated seats.

    I wish I could have got them on my 09 spider but it was not listed on the list of options and I didn't ask the dealer about it. In Ohio, they are a must to drive with the top down in spring or fall.

    When I ordered my 08 spider I asked for them (heated seats). I was told that they were available for the hardtop but not for the spider.
    It seems that the combination of the power demands of the top and heated seats are too much for the Ferrari electrical system to handle.
    As I also own a 328gts from new and am aware of its electrical short fallings I belived them!

    Your dealer told you something that is not true... :( Spiders can have heated seats 100%
