total insurance fraud! get full boat money from the insurance company and repair it. sell it again for $200k more than it costs him. it's his business and i'm sure he's not a fan of that youtube video those kids took. he clearly slowed down just enough that the impact wouldn't hurt him. he's a dealer and had a car that wasn't selling and he couldn't afford it. that's my 2 cents

    His Business

this my friends is the reason we have to pay stupid amounts of money to insure everything we own. a holes with no cares but themselves

There are only two shops that are qualified to repair Veyrons, one in France, the other in CA. Also, he only just bought the car a couple weeks ago, and was one of the few cars he's owned that wasn't a salvage title.

Funny thing, back in April before I bought my '05 MCS, that company had a repaired white Lotus Exige I was considering. It was in the mid-twenties but someone snatched it up before I got a chance to drive down & take a look at it.

    Hhhhmmmm....it does seem fishy:

    1. So the driver of the Veyron is the owner of the exotic salvage business in Lufkin?\
    2. This Veyron did not have a salvage title?
    3. We're speculating that he intentionally drove the car into the lake (trying to make it look like an accident) for the sole purpose of making an insurance claim???

It would seem that there was indeed something on the road and that he possibly hit this object also. The footage has been reviewed and this confirmed. Isnt all that strange that the crash was filmed as it is a hypercar after all.

The YouTube videos of the car actually crashing have all been removed due to a copyright claim by Joe M Garza. Did he take the video? Who is this guy?

Why "would it seem that there was indeed something on the road"?? This has been established for a fact? By who? Confirmed by who?

The filming of a hypercar crashing into a lake is very unique footage, and very strange indeed.

On the contrary, with the exception of some very obvious animals (cow, moose, etc.) you are better off hitting the animal. There are multiple studies done showing the high amount of fatalities from people swerving to avoid hitting animals. Many of these are small animals such as birds, squirrels, etc. The consensus, you are better off keeping your course and mowing the animal done if you are too close. Regarding deer on the freeway, you are better off speeding up in many cases which will force it into the air and over your windshield.
