Terry, are you sure that this car is Argento Nürburgring? I had it as black with black interior.

    Thank you, Ivo!
I know that 130431 has an F1 transmission, silver/black, FHP.

How to do launch control from one of our Florida FChatters (GatorGreg). Have not tried it myself and probably will not.

    1) Sport mode on.
    2) ASR off.
    3) Keep brake pedal depressed.
    4) Hold down the downshift paddle for about 10 seconds until a beep sounds. A red light indicating a transmision error and one vertical bar on the shift light will be displayed.
    5) Raise the revs with the brake on.
    6) Select upshift paddle and release brake to launch.
    7) Keep foot to the floor for the computer to engage and get ready for second because it comes up quicker than you think.

Not that I'm ungrateful - I'm certainly not, and this thread has been a wealth of information.

But how come the body number isn't on the build sheet? :)

Because it isn't the build sheet.

Carbon- Jonathan is correct. This is an abbreviated option sheet dealers can download from FNA, in addition to the build sheet. Note it also does not have the Assembly Number. Jhanifor had to go pop the hood to get that for me.

I only have three 575M build sheets. Two of them have been published and here is the last one. Not too good a copy. Blow it up and you can read it easily. Body number 0 again. Note this one is in all-English, where the one for my car mixes Italian and English.

The one Jhanifor gave you has a lot of information that you find on the build sheets and/or in MODIS - including the 'window punching' (which I still haven't figured out). So I thought it was a different-looking build sheet. Thanks for the clarification!

Carbon- Every US 575M had the windows etched with a Ferrari cavallino emblem, DOT details and a part number. My glass was all made by Sigla. Can anybody else look at their glass and see if it is made by the same company?

Yeah, but the window punching on your car is NYG - but try finding that on any of the glass. Since I can never find the letters on the glass to correspond to the window punching, I have no idea what it is.

Checked my battery recently and it is an Interstate MTP-91. My technicians carry and recommend the MTP-91. So I reordered my recommendation with the MTP-91 as primary and MTP-H6 as alternative.

No idea why it never occurred to me to look at my own battery. Oh, well.

You KNOW what the window punching is. It is the three letters engraved on the window glass after the chassis number. However, you also know that the window etching is no longer done by Ferrari. However, their system clearly still generates the code that would go there if they did.

That is what I didn't know. Clearly I know what the window punching/etching is, but as I stated earlier, I wasn't sure why build sheets contained a 'window punching' yet there was nothing on the glass. Now I know. Thank you.

Will- Nice, I always did like any color silver on Maranellos. FHP, too. Your car is compatible with the HGTC Shock Absorber ECU, too.

Thanks Terry. So, do I just buy the HGTC Shock ECU from Ricambi, install it, and that's it, or do I need anything else? Also, I saw your post in the HGTC vs FHP thread about the HGTC F1 ECU. Originally you thought this would be a direct replacement for the existing F1 ECU, but later you mentioned something about an HGTC F1 Actuator. Does this mean that it is not possible to put the HGTC F1 ECU on an FHP car without the new actuator?

Will- The HGTC Shock Absorber ECU is a direct swap for the ECU now installed on your car. This ECU is located in the cheek panel to the right of the passenger foot well, under the carpeting.

I believe the HGTC F1 ECU is a direct swap for the one you have now, and will probably speed up and possibly smooth out shifting. The HGTC F1 actuator is a whole new F1 shifter electro-hydraulic system and costs ~$8000, so pretty much unreasonable for the gains received. I think the HGTC F1 ECU will work fine without it, but have not heard of anyone trying it. The drawback is cost. Shock Absorber ECUs are only ~$1000, but F1 ECUs exceed $2000. Not sure it is worth it for a 180 ms vs 250 ms minimum shift time and slight possible smoothness improvement. The F1 ECU is behind the seats under the carpeting.

Thanks for the info. Has anyone else here followed through with any of these upgrades? Robie (or anyone else who knows), did you end up adding any of these ECU's to your 575M?
