Hi Guys I have a F430 in the workshop, The problem I am having is when the car gets to operating temp and you drive in 4th gear the 4th gear light starts flashing. Only two times has the car gone into neutral. Checking the system on the SD3 I get a code 1772 but the code comes out in Italian which is Innesto Marcia Opposta. I would not have a clue what this means? Also when doing the Clutch engagement travel all the parameters are out some are way out. Does anyone know how to adjust this. I hope someone can help me out

There is a self check in there for each engagement it's as easy a green is good red Is bad. This showed me a loose screw once.
You chould check the pressure and time. 350-500ms is okay, cycle pump time. I would say a good start is to remove the actuator on the side of the trans and tighten the hell out of the three set screws. Even a 1/8 turn will make a difference.
translation = "opposite gear engaged" whether this means reverse or instead of 2nd it is 3rd or 4th I dunno know. Let us know the problem when solved.

Hey bud How's your f430 ???Did you solved the fault of trans error??? I've similar to the fault of self-learning error by SD3 while replacement clutch sensor and thurst bearing only. I want to know real error cause from where .... thanks and GLW your f430... brian
Long time back 2006 there was a campain 170 for a functional check of the 430 gearbox's if there is an R at the beginning of the gearbox serial number thease do not apply. Ferrari had quite a long procedure verifing proper operation of the gear box using shift speed threasholds i think identified in bits. The main complaint "5th or 6th gear might not engage or the possibility of noise can be heard during engagement of 5th or 6th. Now if the box failed they would have us replace it. This info might not help in your situation but no the less is good to know.
