91 model black with tan guts. has had a major with belt service 5 months ago. the car is pretty clean with tubi exhaust and some nice 20/19 wheels rear/front. the problem is that the car shows that is was issued a salvage title in another state. texas title is clean. i have no idea what the car is worth, anybody got any ideas?

    thanks,
    Dustin

I'd say $30-$35k. A tr is hard enough to sell, let alone one with Salvage history

Why does it have a salvage title? How many miles on the car? Have you inspected the vehicle yet to see what it may need?

If the car wasn't a twisted mess the salvage title is an opportunity to own a cheap driver. It really depends on how bad it was wrecked, do they have any photos of the damage before it was repaired? I've seen exotic cars get totalled with very little damage.

i just looked it over. he wants 45k for it and it is definately not worth that to me. i drove it and it runs great but i cant justify that kind of price. i agree, 35 seems about right to me too.

It is a good looking car, too bad about the title issues (it dosen't mention it in the ad). It would be a great driver for 35k.

    Dear Ferraristi,

"The quality remains long after the low price is forgotten"

Sure, a salvage TR is cheap....now, but it costs the same to maintain as a pristine example. After awhile, you'll feel that you're throwing good money after bad......because, in the end, it's still a Salvage car.

There are many good examples of TR's for sale right now, why go to the bottom?
