Joe, where do you find all this stuff? Do you have any pictures of your memorabilia collection?
Anyone know this car? Spotted in Birmingham, UK. http://www.autogespot.com/nl/viewimages.php?id=c214748364817112009205543
i think he has such an amount of files, pictures .... et similia that he could not write books on lamborghinis but a complete enciclopedia!
The truth is a book is a commercial venture with parameters and limitations and only a FRACTION of the material gets in so you have to choose the most representative stuff.
4812, still with its original JLL 838 K registration. Here it is from 1975 (Silverstone) when it was lime green. Image Unavailable, Please Login
4866 in the mid-1970s when owned by Rod Stewart, silver with gold wheels & sills, tan pigskin interior! (note polished rim lips) Image Unavailable, Please Login
And Walter Wolf's 5092, pictured in the mid-70s, Ticino-registered TI.45100 in its original gold with black leather, silver sills & wheels, looking far better than it does today! Amazing to think that so many of these iconic cars have been re-painted to non-original colors, that aren't even as nice or as cool! Why mess with a good thing? Anyway, its always fun looking at these old images! Image Unavailable, Please Login
I still have a file of discovered Miura production period images taken at Sant Agata whilst the cars were being built that I'm yet to scan and select from for the revised edition of the book. Now would be a good time to invite anyone who wants to share factory images (production period only) towards that effort - appropriate credit will be noted in the book. Is it true that VIN #4990 is for sale actually ? and for which price ? Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yes, this car has been available for a long while. The price seems to change from time-to-time and depending on whom you speak with....
Joe, here is another spot... VIN #4892 is still offered on Bobileff's website now... In Classic & Sports car, 2009 September issue...you remember the article with a "well know" european Lambo trader and 3 Miuras : 2 SVs and one SVJ referred as chassis #678 on bottom of page 105. In your reference book, I have a look at the production list on page 161, chassis #678 is VIN #4934. Can you clarify me this point either about the VIN and chassis and about availability or too late because sold ? please... Olivier

4812 was taking part in Sporting Bears Dream Rides at the Classic Car show. Members of the public basically pay a donation to charity in return for a 20 minute trip around about the NEC. It was interesting to see who wanted a ride in the Miura. Being essentially a 1960s car, I was expecting people in their 50s at a minumum, but around 1/3rd of the rides went to sub 20-year olds. And they all knew the car's specification and place in history. It just goes to show what a lasting legacy messrs Wallace, Dallara, Stanzani, Gandini et al created. Graham.
Beautiful picture of 4884 on Ocean Avenue in Carmel by Dryheatpanzer... Image Unavailable, Please Login
The original owner of my car personalized it a little with some reminders in various places. They are still usefull today. Cheers Jim Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Where do you get the Valvoline 50wt non-detergent, an antique store? Times (and lubricants) have certainly changed in 40 years.
