"Jose Maria Lopez has revealed that he will race for US F1 next season if he can secure the rest of his sponsorship package." -autosport "It's a new team, facing this project from scratch, something different to my experience in Renault, where it was a structure with a lot of years of experience in Formula 1," said Lopez. "But I have been impressed by the commitment and professionalism with which they are facing this project. We have seen a windtunnel that's nearly real scale, something fundamental to the development of the car which hopefully I will be using in 2010." interesting that his only comment references the wind tunnel (AeroDyn which is mainly designed for nascar) to which he says -> "which is fundamental to the development of the car" - apparently he is unaware of Nick Wirth and what he accomplished for Acura without a wind tunnel Carol here's another thread on F1 about this: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=265123 and this http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=264802&page=3
Ah!, not Jennifer Lopez!. Not the story I thought it was going to be, that's come as a disappointment.
...and *IF* the FIA grants him a super license which given his poor racing resume isn't really deserved. That's really cute since it is not USF1's wind tunnel. Not that there is anything wrong with buying time in somebody else's windtunnel, it just doesn't really tell you anything. It'd be a lot more impressive if he had seen a windtunnel model of the car.
