I was just picking up a new 430 Scud in rosso corsa. The price was something like a bargain, so I decided to buy the car although it does not have the Scud stripes.

The idea was to add them as soon as I took over the car. Now I'm beginning to
wonder if it is really essential to add the stripes?

What is Your opinion? Are the stipes a must-have on the Scud?

While I think the stripes add something to the car visually; the idea of a 'stealth Scud' sans stripes is appealing. Some consider only factory installed stripes are correct at resale time. I would leave it just as delivered from the factory.
Congrats on obtaining what is for many a dream ride.

I personally like the car better without stripes.

    It's a matter of taste.

If you like it, buy it.

    What he said.

But it is a matter of personal taste.

Personal taste/opinion but don't consider them essential (and I have stripes on mine) so would leave as it left the factory.

    Enjoy.

I like the 16M Stripe vs the Scud stripe

Congrats - I have been looking and assume the Scud was 210 - 220?

I think the CS and Scud look better with stripes. One of the things the stripes do is help the car stand apart from the 360 and 430 models they're based on.

Nice thing is you can always add stripes. While they're not "factory" stripes, most people won't know or care

I paid 190.000 EUR, but the car has a very spartanic configuration which means
only carbon steering wheel, racing seat belt, sat-nav anti theft and red brake calipers.
If I put the stripes on I doubt I would paint them, as the foil technique is so perfect today that You can't see a difference, and if I should ever sell the car the buyer can decide
to keep the stripes or remove them.

But it is really very hard to decide, because I would normally say to keep the car the way it
left the factory, on the other hand I find the stripes on the Scud very cool.

As a Scud owner with stripes, keep it the way it is from the factory. The stripes do nothing but differentiate it in case you forget where you parked it. Enjoy!

i had planned to put stripes on my CS but after living with it i like it better without them. There are just so many ferraris with stripes now i think its losing its appeal.

Although my Scud came with strips, my CS did not - I added strips, pumas on each rear side panel, and my name and the name of a pro driver friend that I drive with on the roof. I did all this in gold leaf - it looked great and on track my friends knew who it was. when I sold the CS, we just took it all off. It made the car very individual and was fun because it could be undone. After two years it was a job to get it off but very doable with a heat gun

I personally like it better with stripes. It really is a matter of personal taste at this point.

I prefer without, but that might just be because I've seen so many with stripes that I'm getting sick of them. :) Leaving it without stripes would make your car even more unique.

Without is great! Just take it like that, and have stripe sticker when you want and have them removed when you want it back to factory! :)

Very personal; I like the stripe; especially the 16M one; I put an after-market one on my 430spider that looks great (I think).

W/O stripes. And while we're on the subject,
too many badges on the 430 Scud in my opinion.
